2011

Split the season between AAA Fresno and AAA Columbus after his mid-season acquisition from the SF Giants...At the time of the trade he was hitting .295 (65-220) with 13 doubles, 3 triples, 2 home runs and 25RBI in 60 games for AAA Fresno (.351OB/.409SLG/.761OPS) in 2011...At the time of the trade was on the DL with a left hand contusion and also missed a month in May with a right shoulder injury...Optioned to AAA Columbus after the trade...Activated off the DL on August 6 at AAA Columbus and appeared in 6 games before going on the DL again on August 17 with a right shoulder injury...Activated on Sept 2 and appeared in 3 games in September to conclude the regular season...Did not appear in the IL playoffs...Combined on the year he hit .289 w/14 2B, 3 3B, 2HR & 26 RBI in 70 games (.343OB/.391SLG/.734OPS)...Entered 2011 season rated by Baseball America as 7th-best prospect in SF Giants farm system.

2010

Played entire season with double-A Richmond, hitting .291 (153-for-525) with 40 2Bs, 12 HRs and 69 RBI in 136 games ... Was selected to Eastern League Northern Division All-Star roster ... Ranked 3rd in Eastern League with 40 2Bs and 5th with 153 hits ... Had 3 HRs, 5 RBI on June 26 ... Was selected as Giants Player of Month for June, hitting .347 (34-for-98) with 8 2Bs, 5 HRs and 19 RBI in 27 games.

2009

Named mid-season and postseason California League All-Star, Neal had breakout season with Class A Advanced San Jose, finishing with .337 avg. (160-for-475), 41 2Bs, 22 HRs and 90 RBI in 129 games, which was one of greatest individual seasons in SJ Giants history...left fielder led league in on-base pct. (.431), was 3rd in runs scored (102), 4th in slugging pct. (.579) and 5th in batting average...was named to Topps Class A All-Star team and claimed San Jose's team MVP award...returned to outfield after spending time as DH and playing 1st base in 2008...earned player of week honors April 27-May 3 and was named Giants minor league Player of Month in April and June...hit safely in season-high 15 games June 1-19, batting .441 (26-for-59) during stretch...reached base safely via hit, walk or hit-by-pitch in 46-consecutive contests (2nd-longest in league) from May 29-July 24...hit for cycle April 28 at Lancaster, going 4-for-5 in SJ's 17-7 victory...homered in his 1st at-bat, drew walk in 2nd AB, tripled in 3rd plate appearance, singled in 5th at-bat and then doubled to leadoff 9th inning to complete feat...helped Giants win California League Championship by hitting .242 (8-for-33) with 4 RBI in 8 postseason games...near end of regular season was recognized as "top hitting prospect" and has having "best outfield arm" in entire league according to California League managers in survey conducted by Baseball America...at conclusion of season, was rated ninth-best prospect in league and fourth-best in Giants farm system by Baseball America.

Batted .276 (118-for-428) with 25 2Bs, 15 HRs and 81 RBI in 117 games with Class-A Augusta...began season with 14-game hitting streak (.377, 21-for-53), his longest streak of year...split time between DH and 1st base...recorded 2-HR, 5-RBI game against Delmarva July 14...batted season-high .351 (27-for-77) in August.

2007

Played in only 10 games with AZL-Giants after dislocating his throwing shoulder...Neal's development stalled when he dislocated his throwing shoulder, and reconstructive surgery forced him to miss nearly all of 2007 season.

2006

Selected by the Giants in the 36th round (1092nd) overall out of Poway HS (CA). Made his professional debut, appearing in 50 games for short-season Salem-Keizer and batting .250 (44-for-176) with 6 2Bs, 2 3Bs, 4 HRs and 20 RBI in 50 games.
