Spent nearly the entire regular season at Triple-A Sacramento and went 4-2 with two saves and a 2.13 ERA in 45 relief appearances to earn a Sept. 1 call-up to Oakland...was 1-0 with a 0.53 ERA in 11 games, one start, with the A's...allowed a .164 batting average, which included a .132 (5 for 38) mark against right-handed hitters and .217 (5 for 23) against left-handers...did not walk a left-handed hitter and allowed just one extra base hit, a double, in 38 at bats against righties for a .158 slugging percentage... struck out 20 in 17.0 innings, an average of 10.59 per nine innings...fanned two or more in seven of his 11 outings...walked just four and yielded one home run...did not allow an earned run in six outings and 9.2 innings in Oakland...opponents were 0 for 15 with no walks when leading off an inning and 1 for 33 (.030) with two strikes...first batters faced were 2 for 10 (.200) and he allowed 2 of 7 (28.6%) inherited runners to score...his first 10 outings came in relief (0.60 ERA) before he made a start in the final game of the season, Oct. 4 against Los Angeles...tossed 2.0 scoreless innings (1 bb, 1 so) in that season-ending A's 5-3 loss.

Made his Triple-A debut at Sacramento and was 7-2 with two saves and a 3.47 ERA in 51 relief appearances...the wins were a career high...finished second on the River Cats pitching staff in appearances... held the opposition to a .202 batting average, including .163 against left-handed hitters and .222 against right-handers...allowed just one home run in 86 at bats against lefties but eight in 167 at bats against righties...opponents hit just .188 with runners in scoring position...had an up and down season with his ERA, posting a 2.45 mark in April, 5.27 in May, 2.13 in June, 4.73 in July and 2.87 in August...did not allow a run in nine day games (10.2 ip)...allowed just 2 of 12 (16.7%) inherited runners to score...tossed at least one inning in 46 of his 51 appearances...including a season high 3.0 July 21 against Las Vegas and Aug. 23 at Fresno...struck out at least one batter in 15 consecutive games from July 18 to Aug. 28 (28 so in 23.1 ip), including a season high five in 2.0 scoreless innings, Aug. 19 against Tacoma...made five postseason appearances for Sacramento and compiled a 6.75 ERA (6.2 ip, 6 h, 5 r, 5 er, 3 bb, 7 so, 4 hr)...pitched for Cibao in the Dominican Winter League following the season and had an 11.57 ERA in four relief appearances.
2007
Began the season at Single-A Stockton but was promoted to Double-A Midland April 24 after posting a 3.24 ERA and three saves in seven outings...finished the season with the RockHounds and was 3-3 with a 2.88 ERA in 47 relief appearances...combined for a 3-3 record, three saves and a 2.92 ERA in 54 games...struck out a minor league career high 85 batters in 74.0 innings (10.3 per nine innings)... averaged 9.5 strikeouts per nine innings at Midland, which ranked third best among Texas League relievers... opponents hit .248, including .248 by left-handed hitters and .249 by right-handers...that mark dropped to .214 with runners in scoring position...allowed 6 of 26 (23.1%) inherited runners to score... recorded the save in each of his final three outings at Stockton...had a seven-game, 13.2-inning scoreless streak from May 12 to June 1 and finished the month of May with a 1.15 ERA in 10 games...struck out a season high five in his penultimate outing of the season, Sept. 1 at Frisco...pitched for Phoenix in the Arizona Fall League following the season and had a 1.59 ERA in 11 relief appearances...did not allow an earned run in 10 of his outings and opponents batted .227.
2006
Spent the entire season at Single-A Kane County and was 5-1 with nine saves and a 1.63 ERA in a team leading 49 relief appearances...finished second on the Cougars pitching staff in saves...did not allow a home run in 60.2 innings...struck out 73, an average of 10.8 per nine innings...allowed a .179 opponents batting average, which ranked eighth lowest among all Single-A relievers...right-handers batted .177 and lefties hit .183...posted a 0.61 ERA and .077 opponents batting average in 23 road games...converted 9 of 10 (90.0%) save opportunities and allowed 10 of 34 (29.4%) inherited runners to score...yielded two earned runs in 0.1 innings June 17 against Peoria and would not allow another earned run the rest of the season, a span of 23 games and 25.1 innings...had a 13.1-inning scoreless streak from June 24 to July 21 and then finished the season with a 11.0-inning scoreless streak...had a save and a 1.69 ERA in five postseason appearances (5.1 ip, 1 h, 1 r, 1 er, 7 bb, 3 so, 2 hr).
2005
Made his professional debut with Single-A Vancouver and was 2-0 with a 1.95 ERA in 23 games...was named to the Northwest League Postseason All-Star team after finishing third in the league with 14 saves...ranked fifth in the A's farm systems in saves...had just one blown save for a save percentage of 93.3%...held the opposition to a .194 average, including .143 against right-handed hitters and .303 against lefties...struck out 38 in 27.2 innings, an average of 12.4 per nine innings...made one postseason appearance for the Canadians (0.2 ip, 2 h, 4 r, 4 er, 3 bb).
