Name is pronounced "goes-ă-wish"...Is married.....wife's name is Kyleyn.....the couple has a daughter named Everleigh and a son named August...Graduated from Horizon (AZ) High School, where he also played golf...Graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in marketing...His older brother, Chip, played at Arizona State (1996-99) as an infielder/catcher and went on to spend two seasons (1999-2000) in the minors with the Angels.....both brothers played under current Brewers bench coach Pat Murphy at ASU...Was dubbed "Tuffy" by his father due to his rambunctious nature as a 6-month-old child...Enjoys golf and spending time with his family

Appeared in 11 games with Seattle, hit .071 (2x28) with 1 run…recalled from AAA Tacoma on May 5; optioned to Tacoma post-game on May 21…in 85 games with the Rainiers, hit .229 (64x279) with 27 runs, 22 doubles, 4 home runs and 33 RBI…hit 3 of his 4 home runs on the season over a 6-game stretch, June 30-July 9…designated for assignment by Seattle on Aug. 6 and outrighted to Tacoma on Aug. 10.

Limited to just 38 games due a season-ending knee injury…hit .211 with 6 doubles, 1 home run and 13 RBI…Suffered torn right ACL on May 27 at Cardinals…underwent surgery to repair the injury on June 5 in Phoenix (performed by Dr. Gary Waslewski)…Threw out 10-of-29 (34.5 pct.) of attempted base stealers, including 6 of his last 11…Made his first Opening Day start…was the first D-backs OD catcher, other than Miguel Montero, since Chris Snyder in 2009…Set a career high with 4 RBI on May 7 vs. Padres…also was the first D-back with 3 doubles in a game since Didi Gregorius on Sept. 22, 2014 at Twins and fourth D-backs catcher to do so (fifth time, last: Miguel Montero on June 13, 2011 at Marlins).

Combined to hit .216 (64-for-296) with 21 doubles, 5 home runs and 28 RBI in 89 games with Triple-A Lehigh Valley (Phillies) and Triple-A Las Vegas (Blue Jays)...Was a non-roster invitee to Phillies spring training for the fifth straight season...Began the season with the Iron Pigs and batted .192 (41- for-213) in 65 games...Traded to Blue Jays on July 31 for future considerations...Appeared in 24 games with Las Vegas and hit .277 (23- for-83).

Was a non-roster invitee to Phillies spring training...Spent the entire season with Reading (AA)...Set professional highs in games (109), hits (91), HR (13) and RBI (66)...Belted 2 HR and had 5 RBI on 4/27 at Erie...Batted .309 (21-68) with 3 HR and 16 RBI in 20 June games...Had a grand slam and a season-best 6 RBI, 6/1 vs Akron...Named Phillies Minor League Player of the Week, 8/15-21...Hit .318 (28-88) vs LHP.
