Graduated from Cathedral HS (MA) where he was a two-time All-WMass League selection...Was named the Republican's Pitcher of the Year and Player of the Year as a senior at Cathedral after going 9-0 with a 0.13 ERA and 120 strikeouts.
2014
Spent all of 2014 with Columbus (AAA) of the International League in the Indians system, however season ended in June with a lat strain. Posted a 3.69 ERA, his best since 2011, while holding opponents to a .193 average. Allowed runs in just two of his final 11 outings. Marked his 4th straight season having spent time in Columbus. Was traded to Baltimore this off-season, then claimed by Texas before being claimed by Toronto, 15 days later.
2013
Spent most of the season at Triple-A Columbus and was with the big league club over three stints over the first two months of the season...Was with Cleveland on April 28 (26th man in DH), May 5-8 and May 23-31...Around those stints was with the Columbus Clippers all season and did not pitch after July 2nd due to a sprained left wrist...Never enjoyed a consistent amount of success at any level and allowed runs in 12 of his 23 outings at Columbus, including 5 multi-runs allowed appearances, two of which where he allowed 5 earned runs....Lefties hit .263 (10-38) off him at Triple-A as batters hit .327 (16-49) off him with runners on base and .367 (11--30) with RISP. 넵ring his three stints with Cleveland he recorded his first career save in a career-long outing of 3.0 innings in a 12-3 at Boston (3.0IP, 2H, 0R, 4K), which also equaled his career single-game best of 4 strikeouts...In his final outing with Cleveland on May 31 vs. Tampa Bay he allowed 5 runs (5ER) in 1.0 inning of work as he suffered his first career loss. 듵ffered a left wrist injury after his outing of July 2nd at Durham and was placed on the minor league DL the following day....Made 1 rehab appearance for the Arizona League Indians on August 17th before being shutdown for the season...Was recalled to Cleveland on August 30th and placed on the 60-day Major League DL when Jason Kubel wa s acquired from the Arizona Diamondbacks...Left-handed hitters were just 3-for-15 (.200, all HR) off him with Cleveland.
