In his final season with the Yankees, Adam Warren established career highs with seven wins, 17 starts, 131.1 innings and 104 strikeouts ... all told, was 7-7 with a 3.29 ERA (48 ER/131.1 IP) in 43 games (17 starts) for New York, holding the opponent to a .236 average. Was one of two pitchers in the majors to make at least 15 starts and 25 relief appearances (also the Twins Trevor May) ... according to Elias, over the last 85 seasons, the only other Yankees to do so were Allie Reynolds (1953) and Shane Rawley (1982). Was 6-6 with a 3.66 ERA (39 ER/96.0 IP) in 17 starts ... allowed three or fewer earned runs in his final 12 starts and in 14 of 17 overall. Allowed three or fewer runs in each of his final 12 starts dating to May 8, tied for the third-longest streak in the majors behind Jake Arrieta (20) and Pittsburgh's Gerrit Cole (14).
