Was a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy, USA Baseball's Golden Spikes Award & the Wallace Award...Was also named second-team All-America by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers and Rivals.com and third-team All-America by Collegiate Baseball magazine...Was a two-time first-team All-Pac-10 selection at Cal in 2007-08...Transferred from Cal State Fullerton after the 2006 season, where as a freshman he was a member of the College World Series All-Tournament team, flirting with a College World Series record with seven consecutive hits, tying Indians manager Terry Francona (1980) and one short of Dave Magadan (1983) and Barry Bonds (1984)...Cooper led all players at the 2006 World Series with a .533 average (8-for-15) with five RBI...Graduated from Tokay High School in Lodi, CA...Was a Baseball America and Louisville Slugger All-American, and an all-state honoree as a senior...Competed in the Sony All-American Game in 2005 and was a member of USA Junior National Team in 2004.

Reported to spring training with continued soreness from the August 2012 upper back injury that ended his season...Was deemed unable to play in spring training on February 17 and was released by Toronto on March 13 and later underwent a thoracoscopic microdiscectomy of the T-7 and T-8 vertebrae on April 3...Dr. Curtis Dickman performed the surgery in Phoenix, inserting a titanium plate and two titanium screws while fusing the vertebrae during the four-hour procedure...Was signed by Cleveland to a Minor League free agent contract on August 13 and appeared 6 games with the rookie league club in Goodyear before being activated from the DL at Columbus on August 23...Appeared in 7 games before asking for his release on August 31...Re-signed by Cleveland to a Major League deal on December 9.

In his second season appeared in 45 games with Toronto, making 35 starts, including 26 at 1B and nine at DH...After his first recall batted .364 in his first 12 contests with three doubles and two home runs...Following that batted .143
over his next 12 before being optioned to Las Vegas... Was recalled again on July 30 and proceded to hit .307 with eight
doubles and two home runs in 21 contests before being disabled with upper back soreness on August 26... Did not play
after that date...Finished August batting .329 with 10 of his 23 hits going for extra bases (8-2B/2HR)... His 10 XBH ranked 7th in the AL for
the month of August at the time of his injury...Posted two three-hit contests and now has four career... Had a career high three RBI at CWS on June 5... Once again vs.
CWS collected a walk-off single in the 11th inning in 3-2 victory...Handles left-handed pitching well, batting .294 and over his two seasons in the majors has hit .292 vs. lefties... From the
7th inning on, batted .391 with four doubles and three home runs...With Las Vegas, played in 68 contests, batting .314 with 27 doubbles, 10 home runs and 52 RBI... Finsihed 7th in RBI on

Appeared in 27 games over two separate stints with the Blue Jays this past season... DEBUT: Had his contract purchased on April 29 and made his Major League debut that same day at NYY... Did not record a hit until his 3rd game on May 1 at NYY a single off Ivan Nova in the 2nd inning... Appeared in 13 games prior to being optioned to Las Vegas on May 16... Batted just .121 (4-33) during that time... MAKE IT A BIG ONE: Of his four hits one was go-ahead pinch-hit home run off Daniel Bard in the 8th inning on May 10... Was his first career home run... Also added the walk-off sacrifice fly in the 10th to record the 7-6 victory... HELLO AGAIN: Returned to the club Sept. 7 for the remainder of the season... Appeared in 14 games posting a .289 average (11-38) with six doubles, one home run and seven RBI... Recorded an .851 OPS over this stretch... Sept. 8 and 13 had three hits, both of which came vs. the Red Sox... MINOR STAR: Led the Pacific Coast League in average with a .364 mark, doubles with 51 and OBP at .439...
