Signed a Minor League contract with Seattle on May 3 and made 40 appearances with Triple-A Tacoma...Began the season by making four relief appearances for Saltillo in the Mexican League before signing a Minor League contract with Seattle on May 3 … went 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA (4.0 IP, 1 ER) for Saltillo...Spent the entire season with Tacoma, going 1-1 with a 3.56 ERA (43.0 IP, 17 ER), 12 walks and 32 strikeouts in 40 appearances.

Spent the season at the Yankees Alternate Training Site at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre... Released by the Nationals on 7/17 and signed by the New York Yankees as a minor league free agent on 8/25...A non-roster Spring Training Invitee by the Washington Nationals; appeared in four games (4.1 IP, H, 2 K).

Had his contract selected by San Francisco on Aug. 15 and made 21 appearances out of the bullpen for the Giants, posting a 4.15 ERA (6 ER/13.0 IP)...Opposing batters hit .196 (6-for-46) with two homers off of him...Struck out 49 batters against just four walks in 38 Triple-A games.

Began the year at Lancaster (A), where he made 41 appearances, all in relief, posting a 4-6 record with six saves and a 4.14 ERA (38ER/82.2IP)...finished second on the team in appearances and ERA (min. 50 IP) and led the club in saves...earned Lancaster's Pitcher of the Month in June after going 1-0 with one save and a 1.06 ERA (2ER/17IP) in seven games...earned a promotion to Corpus Christi (AA) in late August and made three starts for the Hooks, posting an 0-1 record and a 3.21 ERA (5ER/14IP)...marked his first starts since August of 2007...combined between the two levels to finish 4-7 with a 4.00 ERA (43ER/96.2IP)...added to the Astros 40-man roster on Nov. 5... played for the Toros del Este in the Dominican Winter League and went 3-1 with a 3.42 ERA (18ER/47.1IP) in 10 starts.
