Jamie R. Hoffmann graduated from New Ulm (MN) High School in 2002...Holds the school's single-season record for hits with 53 in 2003...Led New Ulm to Minnesota's 3A baseball championship in 2002...As a hockey player, he scored 25 goals and had 32 assists during his senior year...Played for Des Moines of the United States Hockey League during the 2002-2003 season, scoring 14 goals and assisting on 25 others for a total of 39 points in 60 games...Was planning to attend Colorado College to play hockey, but instead chose to sign with the Dodgers...Played for the USA Baseball Team that tied for third place in the 2010 COPABE Pan American Qualifier in Puerto Rico...Was an eighth-round draft pick of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes in 2003.

Spent the entire year with Norfolk (AAA) of the International League...Played games at first base and all three outfield positions...Hit .284 (21-74) in 22 June games...For the year, he had 22 games with two hits and four games with three hits...Knocked in four runs at Gwinnett on August 21...Batted .322 (29-90) in day games...Compiled a .279 (29-104) batting average vs. lefthanded pitching.

Spent the majority of the season at Triple-A Albuquerque in the Dodgers organization...was brought to the Majors for four days from 4/11-14 and appeared in two games for the Dodgers...Went 0-for-4 in his two games for the Dodgers, which included a start in left field on 4/14 vs. STL...was his first Major League start since he made a start in right field for the Dodgers on 5/31/09 at CHC...With the Triple-A Isotopes, Hoffman hit .297 (141-for-475) with 23 doubles, 3 triples, 22 home runs, 84 RBI, 91 runs and 14 steals...Hoffman's 22 home runs in 2011 set a new career-high...Hoffman led the Isotopes in hits and doubles and finished second on the club in RBI and steals.
2010
Saw his first Major League action, batting .182 with 2 doubles, 1HR and 7RBI in 14 games... was recalled by the Dodgers from Triple-A Albuquerque on 5/22 and made his Major League debut that night vs. Los Angeles-AL, flying out as a pinch hitter in the sixth inning...Hit a three-run homer for his first big league hit on 5/24 vs. Los Angeles-AL (off Matt Palmer), going 2-for-4 with 1 double, 1HR and 4RBI...Played in 14 games with the Dodgers, including eight pinch-hit appearances, before being optioned to Albuquerque on 6/15... was designated for assignment on 8/31 and re-signed to a minor league contract on 9/9...Combined to hit .291 with 69R, 23 doubles, 10HR, 64RBI and 15SB in 97 games for Double-A Chattanooga and Albuquerque... opened the year with Chattanooga and hit a grand slam and drove in five runs on 4/22 at Mississippi... went 5-for-5 on 4/28 vs. Huntsville... scored 25R in 29 games before being promoted to Albuquerque on 5/12...Earned the "Dodger Pride Award" in April, given on a monthly basis to the players at each level of the club's minor league system who play the game with a hustling, smart and aggressive style...Following the season, appeared in 21 games with Escogido of the Dominican Winter League, batting .235 (16-for-68) with 5 doubles, 5RBI, 7BB and 3SB.

Saw his first Major League action after getting recalled by Los Angeles on 5/22 and made his debut as a pinch-hitter that day against the Angels...appeared in 14 games with the Dodgers, batting .182 (4-for-14) with a home run and seven RBI before getting optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on 6/15...made his first big league start on 5/24 against the Angels and slugged a three-run homer off Matt Palmer for his first big league hit...finished the game 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and four RBI...hit .291 with 10 homers and 64 RBI in 97 combined games for the Isotopes and Double-A Chattanooga...batted .324 with two homers and 11 RBI in 20 April games to win a Dodger Pride Award for Albuquerque...appeared in 15 Spring Training games with the Dodgers and hit .364 with three doubles and five RBI...designated for assignment on 8/31 and was reassigned to a Minor League contract on 9/9.

Batted .278 with 64R, 20 doubles, 3 triples, 10HR, 71RBI and a career-high 28 stolen bases in 37 attempts (75.7%) in 133 games, making the majority of his starts in RF...was a midseason Southern League All-Star...All 10 of his homers came off right-handed pitchers...hit a "walk-off" solo homer with two outs in the ninth on 8/1 vs. Mobile...Hit in a career-high 15 straight games from 5/9-24, batting .373 (22-for-59) over the stretch...also hit safely in 24 straight starts from 5/9-6/3...Played for Surprise of the Arizona Fall League following the season, batting .314 (11-for-35) with 6RBI, 8BB and 3SB in 10 games.
2007
Played the entire season with Single-A Inland Empire, batting .309 with 67R, a career-high 22 doubles, 7 triples, 9HR and 81RBI in 116 games...also stole 19 bases in 26 attempts...ranked 10th in the California League in batting average, leading the team in average and hits (134)...played all three outfield positions...Participated in the Hawaiian Winter League following the season, batting .278 and going 8-for-8 in stolen base attempts with West Oahu.
2006
Played majority of the season with Single-A Vero Beach, batting .252 with 50R, 16 doubles, 5HR, 29RBI and 15SB in 121 games... was promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas for the final four games of the season and went 3-for-10 (.300) with 1BB, 3K and 1SB.
2005
Began the year with Single-A Columbus and was promoted to Single-A Vero Beach on 7/5, combining to hit .285 with 79R, 19 doubles, 11 triples, 2HR, 34RBI and 13SB in 125 games.
2004
Batted .310 with 40R, 8 doubles, 7 triples, 4HR, 36RBI and 14SB in 60 games with the GCL Dodgers, playing exclusively at 3B...led the league in hits (71), triples, RBI and runs, and ranked fourth in batting average...began his pro career with multi-hit efforts in each of his first seven games, batting .500 (16-for-32)...Was rated by Baseball America as the 13th-best prospect in the GCL.
