Split the season between triple-A Norfolk and Baltimore. Posted a 5-3 record and 3.16 ERA in 36 appearances with the Tides. In 15 games with Baltimore, had no record and a 7.79 ERA ... Began the season with Norfolk, appearing in 18 games before having his contract selected on May 25. Prior to his selection, was 2-1 with a 1.86 ERA (19.1 IP/4 ER) and eight saves in 10 opportunities ... Earned his first win in his first appearance, April 1 vs. Durham. Allowed one run on two hits with a walk and one strikeout in 1.1 innings ... Saved six consecutive opportunities from April 21 to May 11. Took his first loss of the year in his next appearance, May 13 at Syracuse. Allowed two runs on two hits in 0.2 inning ... Had his contract selected by Baltimore on May 25 and made his Major League debut the next night against Oakland, tossing 1.1 scoreless innings ... Allowed one earned run over his first seven appearances with the O's (7.0 IP), then was charged with 14 earned runs in his final eight appearances (10.0 IP) ... Tossed a season-high 2.0 innings on June 4 vs. Boston. Allowed one run on two hits with a strikeout ... Optioned back to Norfol on July 19 and spent the remainder of the season with the Tides. Went 3-2 with a 4.24 ERA (23.1 IP/11 ER) in 18 appearances to finish out the season ... With Norfolk, went a season-best 2.1 innings in his final appearance of the season, September 4 at Durham. Earned the win after allowing one run on two hits ... Following the season, appeared in 18 games with Tigres de Aragua in the Venezuelan Winter League. Posted an 0-1 record and 5.66 ERA (20.2 IP/13 ER).
