Spent the 2017 season in the Korean Baseball Organization for Hanwha...Originally signed as an international free agent by Oakland in 2002 as a position player...Spent the first four years (2002-05) of his pro career as an outfielder in the Athletics minor league system... Selected by Texas from Oakland in the minor league phase of the 2005 Rule 5 Draft on 12/8. Made his pro pitching debut in 2006, his first year in the Texas system, with the rookie-level DSL Rangers... Was unable to enter the United States due to visa issues from 2005-09... Named an American League All-Star in 2011, his first year in the majors working primarily as a starter...Is 2-0 with a 2.37 ERA (5 ER) and 23 strikeouts in 19.0 career Postseason innings.
