2011
Spent the entire season with Triple-A Tacoma in the Seattle organization where he posted a 5-4 record and 3.63 ERA in 24 games, including 12 starts...also converted his only save opportunity...allowed a .244 opponents batting average, including .239 (48-for-201) against right-handed hitters compared to .255 (26-for-102) against left-handers...yielded seven of his nine home runs to righties...opponents hit .263 with runners in scoring position...was 5-3 with a 4.07 ERA and .263 opponents batting average in his 12 starting assignments, 0-1 with a 2.29 ERA and .183 opponents average in 12 relief appearances... however, allowed all five of his inherited runners to score in relief...made all of his starts before going on the disabled list June 21 with a fractured left foot...pitched exclusively in relief after he was reinstated Aug. 3...went 0-3 with a 5.18 ERA in 12 games at home compared to 5-1 with a 2.06 ERA in 12 games on the road...the Rainiers were 8-4 (.667) in his starting assignments...tossed six innings in just three of his 12 starts, allowed two runs or fewer seven times and walked two batters or fewer nine times...pitched at least one inning in each of his 12 relief appearances...played for Cibao in the Dominican Winter League following the season, logging a 0-4 record and 6.12 ERA in 13 games, nine starts.
TACOMA: Allowed a season-high nine hits in his first start April 11 at Fresno...then tossed 5.0 scoreless innings in his next start against Sacramento April 16 before allowing a season-high eight runs on a season-high-tying nine hits April 21 against Colorado Springs...also fanned a season-high six against the SkySox...was 0-2 with an 8.03 ERA over his first three starts...then went 4-0 with a 2.82 ERA over his next seven starts from April 26 to May 30...tossed a season-high 6.0 innings three times over that span, including April 26 at Salt Lake and May 7 against Las Vegas when he matched his season-high with six strikeouts...issued a season-high five walks in 4.1 innings May 2 against Tucson...made backto- back relief appearances June 3 and 7...tossed 3.0 scoreless innings on the 3rd against Reno for his only save of the season...made two more starts, including June 20 against Salt Lake when he allowed four runs in six hits in 4.0 innings to snap his four-game winning streak...was placed on the disabled list the next day with a fractured left foot...was reinstated Aug. 3 and pitched exclusively in relief following his return, going 0-1 with a 2.87 ERA in 10 appearances...did not allow a run in four consecutive appearances from Aug. 22 to Sept. 3 (5.0 ip, 1 h)...struck out four batters in 3.1 innings in his final outing Sept. 5 against Fresno...it was his longest outing as a reliever in 2011.

Spent the season with Pawtucket (AAA) in the Boston organization...went 7-9, 4.93 (57 ER, 104.0 IP) in 31 games (15 GS)...in 15 starts, went 3-7, 5.72 (43 ER, 67.2 IP)...effective in relief role with a 4-3, 3.71 (21 ER, 51.0 IP) mark in 16 appearances... stranded 7 of 9 inherited runners...recorded 8 games with 5 or more strikeouts...pitched for Gigantes del Cibao in the Dominican Winter League following the season...recorded back-to-back starts of 11 and 12 strikeouts, Nov. 6 & Nov. 11 vs. Aguilas.
