and walked two in 0.2 innings in that game...left with two runners on, one came around to score...was
his first outing since 6/30 at SD...He went 3-0 with a 2.67 ERA (30.1 ip, 9 er), allowing 19 walks and striking out 34 in 24 appearances for
Colorado Springs...had not allowed a run over his past nine appearances for Colorado Springs and had
14 strikeouts in 12.0 innings...Over his final five outings of the season allowed just one hit, one run, no earned runs and two walks

Morales' starts...made just two quality starts, as his pitch counts and innings were limited...averaged 6.64

Rockies' 2-1, 14-inning win (6.0 ip, 1 h, 0 r)...allowed three runs on four hits over 5.0 innings of work in his final
start in the regular season on Sept. 27 at Los Angeles...had entered the game with a 17-inning scoreless
streak, the longest by a Rockie in '07...shut out the Dodgers over his first three innings, but gave up an RBI
triple to James Loney in the fourth inning, snapping the streak at 20 innings, tied with Denny Neagle (Aug. 3-
20, 2002) for the longest in club history...combined to go 5-4 with a 3.51 ERA (112.2 ip, 44 er) in 20
games/starts with Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Colorado Springs this season...began the year with Tulsa,
spending the season's first three months in Double-A...went 3-4 with a 3.48 ERA (95.2 ip, 37 er) in 17
games/starts for the Drillers...was on disabled list May 2-24 with a left hamstring strain...the Drillers won
11 of his 17 games...seven of his 17 assignments were quality outings and allowed three runs or less in 13 of his

In his first season in the U.S., tied teammate Samuel Deduno for the Pioneer League lead with 15 starts...ranked second in the league in strikeouts (82) and T3rd in wins (6)...averaged 11.35 strikeouts per nine innings, second-best in the league...hurled league's only CG shutout of 2004, a rain-shortened 3-0 victory over Provo in his final start on Sept. 3...blanked Provo over 5.0 innings, allowing two hits with 11 K's.

The 17-year-old pitched for Rockies in Dominican Summer League in his pro debut, going 9-3 with a 2.18 ERA (78.1 ip, 19 er) in 13 game/starts...opponents batted just .211 (58-for-275) as he did not allow a home run.
