Full name is Douglas Cody Clark...he and his wife, Jordan, reside in Conway, Ark. ... Attended and played baseball at both the University of Arkansas (2001-02) and Wichita State University (2003)... graduated from Central Arkansas with a degree in health education in December, 2008 ... Originally drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 48th round of the 2000 draft, but did not sign ... His dad, Doug, was an outfielder and first baseman and played five seasons in the minor leagues from 1971-75, including hitting .230 in 132 games for Jacksonville (AA) in the Royals system in 1975...spent the 1971-74 years in the Cardinals organization.

Spent the entire season with the Pacific Coast League champion Omaha (AAA) Storm Chasers, sharing the catching duties ... After batting .346 with a .615 slugging pct. against left-handed pitchers in 2010, hit just .205 (8-for-39) in 2011 with a .256 slugging.

Spent the entire season with Omaha (AAA) sharing the catching duties...appeared in the most games and picked up his most at bats since his 2006 season with Rome in the Braves chain...Feasted on left-handed pitching, batting .346 with a .615 slugging pct...Hit .333 (24-for-72) following the All-Star break as the O-Royals made a run at a division championship.

Opened the year at Omaha (AAA), appearing in just three games before playing the remainder of the season at Northwest Arkansas (AA), a few minutes drive from his home in Conway, Ark...Was big in the clutch for NW Arkansas, hitting .345 (19-for-55) with 25 RBI with runners in scoring position...In addition to catching, also made a pair of appearances on the mound for the Naturals, tossing 1.1 scoreless frames, allowing 1 hit and striking out 1.
2008
Spent the entire season with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals of the Double-A Texas League except for one game (May 18) with the Omaha Royals of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League (2-for-3, 3B, HR, RBI, R)...with the Naturals, hit .184 (19-for-103) in 40 games, with four home runs, 14 RBIs, one stolen base and nine runs scored...hit .208 (10-for-48) before the All-Star break and .164 (9-for-55) after...hit in four straight games April 28-May 6...went 3-for-4 with a home run, a season-high four RBIs and a run scored May 13 vs. Tulsa...hit in his final three games (3-for-8) with a home run, two RBIs and a run scored.

Spent the majority of the season with the Wilmington Blue Rocks of the Class A Advanced Carolina League...hit .242 (28-for-157) in 45 games, with three home runs, 14 RBIs, one stolen base and 17 runs scored...hit in a season-high nine consecutive games May 4-June 17 (.344, 11-for-32)...posted season bests with four hits and three runs scored July 30 at Potomac...played three games with the Omaha Royals of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League from May 15-27, going 2-for-7 with a home run, two RBIs and a run scored.
2006
Spent the entire season with the Rome Braves of the Class A South Atlantic league...hit .296 (73-for-247) in 74 games, with three home runs, 35 RBIs, five stolen bases and 30 runs scored...all three homers came in an eight-game span from Aug. 17-Sept. 1...drove in nine runs during a five-game RBI streak from Aug. 26-Sept. 2...collected a season-high four RBIs on Aug. 9 at West Virginia and Aug. 31 at Columbus.

Appeared in just six games with the Clinton LumberKings of the Class A Midwest League...went 1-for-17 (.059) but drove in two runs...spent the remainder of the season with the San Diego Surf Dawgs of the independent Golden Baseball League, hitting .292 (77-for-264) with eight home runs, 48 RBIs, four stolen bases and 51 runs scored.
