Split the season between AAA Scranton/WB and the New York Yankees, his first taste of big league action after six Minor League seasons...Was released by the Yankees on March 26 and re-signed to a Minor League deal three days later after the acquisition of OF Vernon Wells...After playing in 27 games for Scranton (.316 avg), had contract purchased on May 15, the first day he was eligible to be promoted to the majors...Made his Major League debut that day at third base vs. Seattle and collected his first Major League hit in the 6th inning off Hisashi Iwakuma on his birthday...Doubled for his first MLB RBI the next day vs. Seattle...On May 20 at Baltimore he hit his first Major League home run off Freddy Garcia...David played in 35 games with a .190 average, 2 home runs, and 9 RBI until being demoted to Triple-A on July 8...Was also with the Yankees from July 24-28, August 5-11 and Sept 1-end of season (four stints total)...At Triple-A he hit .339 (20-59) in 16 April games and appeared in 30 games at third base, 28 games at second base and 2 games at first base...With the Yankees he appeared in 31 games at third base, 9 games at second base and 4 games at first base...Was rendered a free agent when the Yankees non-tendered him on December 2nd.

Batted .306 (100-for-327) with 23 doubles, 8 HRs and 48 RBIs in 86 games with Double-A Trenton, appearing in games at 2B, 3B and DH...his totals in games played, runs scored, hits, doubles and RBIs were his highest since 2009 and his 8 HRs marked a career high...Missed a month of the season on the disabled list from 4/12-5/13 with back spasms...Recorded the first multi-HR game of his career in 6/27 win at New Britain, going 2-for-4 with 2 HRs and 4 RBIs...Batted .267 (8-for-30) with 4 R, 3 doubles and 2 RBIs in eight postseason games...Following the season, was named the first-ever winner of the "Dirtiest Uniform of the Season" Award, an honor selected by the Trenton fans...Also played in 22 games for Scottsdale in the Arizona Fall League, batting .286 (24-for-84) with 13 R, 7 doubles, 3 HRs and 15 RBIs...named AFL Week 5 "Player of the Week" (.571, 3 HR).

disabled list on 4/22 before beginning a rehab assignment with the GCL Yankees on
6/20...was returned from rehab on 7/8, but remained on the D.L. after reinjuring his
ankle during rehab...made a second rehab assignment from 7/14-23 before being

Double-A Trenton before having his season cut short with a right ankle injury on
5/23...had the ankle scoped on 8/2 to remove three small bone chips...Following the season, was rated by Baseball America as having the "Best Strikezone
Discipline" among all Yankees farmhands.

Combined to hit .286 (140-for-490) with 69R, 40 doubles, 8 triples, 7HR and 75RBI in
132 games with Single-A Charleston and Single-A Tampa...tied for third among all
Yankees minor leaguers in RBI...Began the season with Charleston, batting .290 (75-for-259) with 23 doubles and
34RBI in 67 games...tied for second on the team in doubles...Was promoted to Tampa on 6/25, where he batted .281 (65-for-231) with 17 doubles,
6 triples, 7HR and 41RBI in 65 games...ranked second on the team in triples and tied
