In 2001 graduated from Duarte (CA) High School...attended Citrus Community College in Glendale, California and Lewis and Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho.

2011

Spent most of the season at Louisville...made 17 apps during 4 stints with the Reds (4/23- 5/7, 5/24-6/25, 7/7-7/9, 9/1-remainder of the season)...in 3 straight apps from 5/25-6/4 suffered the loss in each of the Reds' 3 extra-inning games...was recalled from Louisville on 5/24, after starter Bronson Arroyo threw 2.2 innings the night before at Phi...on 5/25 at Phi entered the 19-inning loss in the 14th and finished with a career-high 5.2 innings (95 pitches), the longest relief outing by a Reds pitcher since Micah Owings threw 5.2ip on 5/16/09 at SD and the longest by a Reds reliever in 2011...3 days later suffered the 12-inning loss at Atl...on 6/4 vs LAD suffered the 11-inning, 11-8 loss after the Reds failed to hold a 7-2 lead...following the season pitched for Caribes in the Venezuelan Winter League (10g, 0-0-0, 3.52, 7.2ip, 9h, 5bb, 7k, 0hr).

2010

Made 18 relief apps during 4 stints with the Reds...from 4/22-5/31 posted a 9.82era in 11 apps, from 7/21-8/1 made 2 scoreless apps, from 8/7-8/18 made 1 scoreless appearance and beginning 9/1 through the end of the season posted a 5.40era in 4 apps...on 5/18 vs Mil threw 1.1 scoreless innings to earn the 5-4 Reds win...in the 7-1 loss on 7/22 vs Wsh tied his career high with 4 strikeouts in a season-high 3.2 innings (1h)...in the 7-3 loss on 8/9 vs StL established a new career high with 5 strikeouts over 3.1 innings (2h)...made 30 relief apps for Louisville...on 6/5 vs Pawtucket allowed 3er in 0.2ip...his ERA for the Bats in his other 29 apps was 0.76.

2009

Was 1 of 8 Reds players to make his Major League debut...11 times threw at least 2.0 innings and 16 times threw more than 1.0 inning...began the season at Louisville and went 2-0-2, 2.00 in 13 apps before he was promoted on 5/22 as 1 of 4 roster moves that day...posted a 4.05 ERA in 34 apps for the Reds before he was optioned to Sarasota between games of the day/night DH on 8/31 vs Pit...returned to the Reds as a September callup and in 5 apps the rest of the season posted a 7.50 ERA...in the 11-inning, 4-3 win on 5/24 vs Cle became the first Reds reliever to win his Major League debut since Hector Carrasco on 4/4/94 at StL...struck out his first big league batter (Kelly Shoppach)...in the 11-4 loss on 8/29 vs LAD allowed 5 earned runs without retiring any of 5 batters, raising his ERA from 2.96 to 3.94...his ERA in his other 38 apps of the season was 3.61...on 8/12 at StL, replaced injured starter Homer Bailey after 3 batters and threw a career-high 4.1 innings...in his outing on 6/7 vs the Cubs faced 4 batters but recorded 5 outs (K/CS, K, K, K).

2008

In 50 relief apps at Class AA Chattanooga and Class AAA Louisville combined to finish 6-5, 3.04 with 8 saves...was promoted to Louisville on 7/19...while with the Lookouts produced a win or save in 8 consecutive apps from 5/30-7/4...following the season played for Peoria in the prestigious Arizona Fall League, where he was invited to participate in the Rising Stars Game...posted 3 saves in 10 relief apps for Peoria (0-1, 10.80, 10ip, 14h, 9bb, 10k)...on 11/20 was added to the 40-man roster.

2007

In 28 starts at Class A Sarasota and Class AA Chattanooga combined to finish 9-10, 3.73...among all Reds farmhands ranked T3rd in strikeouts (135) and 10th in ERA...allowed 2 runs or fewer in 18 of his 28 starts...was both a Florida State League and Southern League All-Star...was the organization's Minor League Pitcher of the Month for May (7gs, 2-1, 1.47)...was Florida State League Pitcher of the Week for 4/5-4/15 (2-0, 0.00, 13ip, 0r) and Southern League Pitcher of the Week for 7/16-7/22...on 5/11 was promoted to Chattanooga.

2006

At Class A Dayton ranked among Midwest League leaders in victories (12, 5th) and ERA (2.76, 8th)...ranked among the organizational leaders in ERA (3rd), wins (3rd) and strikeouts (122, 5th)...was Midwest League Pitcher of the Week for 4/17-4/23...from 4/18-5/6 threw 22.2 consecutive scoreless innings...allowed 2 earned runs or fewer in 19 of his 27 starts...was the organization's Minor League Pitcher of the Month for August (6gs, 4-0, 1.73).

2005

In his first professional season, at rookie Billings posted a 3.00era in 8 starts and a 6.62era in 7 relief apps... was named Pioneer League Pitcher of the Week for 6/21-6/26.
