Started the year at Tacoma, but had four stints with Seattle...was 1-6 with a 10.27 ERA (43 ER, 37.2 IP) in 9 starts and had 0.77 ERA (1 ER, 11.2 IP) in 4 relief appearances...recalled from Tacoma on May 29 and made season debut that night in start vs. LAA (6.2,8,4,4,2,4,HR)...picked up only win of the season, June 3 vs. Texas...allowed 4 runs on 7 hits while striking out 5 in a career-high 7.2 IP...optioned back to Tacoma on June 4...allowed 5 hits in 5.0 scoreless innings, June 27 vs. Boston, but didn't receive decision...recalled July 24 and started G1 of doubleheader at Texas...recorded the loss allowing 2 runs on 6 hits in 5.0 innings...optioned back to Tacoma between games...recalled for fourth time on Sept. 1, appearing in 5 games, including two starts to end the season...had 0.93 ERA (1 ER, 9.2 IP) in three relief appearances from Sept. 2-15, including tossing 5.1 scoreless innings on Sept. 10 vs. Oakland...allowed three earned runs or less in 16 of 19 starts with Tacoma, including his first 10 consecutive starts to begin the season.
