David made his major league debut in 2009 with Chicago after having never previously pitched above Single-A ... he was acquired by Chicago December 11, 2008 from Cincinnati ... he was selected by the Reds from Colorado in the major league portion of the Rule 5 draft earlier that day. ... Held the opponent scoreless in 10 of his 20 games, including six of seven appearances, April 29-June 7. ... Held opponents to a .244 batting average (11-for-45) with runners in scoring position ... limited opponents to a .190 mark (4-for-21) with RISP and two outs. ...
