Marked his only hit in 17 at-bats...Named the Tacoma Rainiers Offensive Player of the Year hitting .310 with 64 runs, 32 doubles, 2 triples, 20 HR, 81 RBI, 64 BB, .514 SLG, .907 OPS in 125 games...Hit .364 (36-99) with 19 runs scored, 9 doubles, 1 triple, 7 home runs and 23 RBI over 28 games in August... Stroked 29 doubles and 16 home runs in 116 games for Double-A New Britain in his only season in the Twins organization, batting .278 with 69 RBI and 61 runs...hit .306 (95-for-310) with 15 of his homers against righthanders and .207 (25-for-121) with one long ball against lefties...batted .310 (35-for-113) with runners in scoring position, including a .400 (4-for-10) mark with the bases loaded...enjoyed his best statistical month in August, when he batted .345 (40-for-116) with 22 RBI and 16 runs in 29 games...committed 10 errors in 64 games as a first baseman, splitting his time between first base and DH.

Set career highs with 20 home runs, 75 RBI and 62 runs in 110 games for Single-A Columbus of the South Atlantic League...closed the season by hitting .339 (59-for-174) in his final 49 games beginning June 26 to lift his average from .248.

2003

Spent 74 days on the D.L. after suffering a shoulder injury in the spring, and returned to play in 53 games for short-season short-season Single-A Aberdeen of the New York-Penn League...hit .244 with 9 doubles, a homer, 21 RBI and 17 runs scored.

2002

Was rated by Baseball America as the No. 12 prospect in the Appalachian League after leading the league with a .375 average and a .597 slugging percentage and ranking 2nd with a .474 OBP...was named DH on the league's All-Star squad after belting 13 doubles and 8 homers and driving in 42 runs in 51 games for Bluefield...crowned Orioles Minor League Player of the Month for August, batting .410 (34-for-83) with 5 homers, 21 RBI and 21 runs in 22 games...reached base in 30 straight games July 20-August 24.

2001

Played 24 games for the Arizona Rookie League A's, batting .214 with 12 RBI and 8 runs...was released by Oakland September 26 and signed with the Orioles October 29.
