Eclipsed offensive highs set in 2012 with a .321 batting average, 34 doubles and 514 at-bats in 142 games. Made his first career appearance in the postseason. Started all four the the National League Division Series games vs. LAD and carried a .438 (7-for-16) batting average with five runs driven in. Went 4-for-6 (.667) with five RBI with runners in scoring position during the NLDS. His two-out RBI-single in the fourth inning of Game 2 put the Braves ahead 2-1. Hit safely in 85 of his final 114 games of the season, from 5/13 through the end of the year. Posted a .324 (134-for-413) batting average and in that span, went hitless in back-to-back starts just twice (6/17-18, 8/5-6), and his three-game skid, 9/22-25, was his longest hitless spell in that span. Ranked sixth in the National League and second on the Braves with 36 two-out RBI. His .336 (39-for-116) batting average with runners in scoring position ranked 10th in the National League. Began the season with Lexington (A) hitting .259 (66x255) with eight home runs and 44 RBI...promoted to Advanced A Salem on June 22...went on to hit .263 (59x224) with six home runs and 38 RBI for the Avalanche...named Carolina League Player of the Week for Aug. 20-26 after hitting three home runs and driving in 10 RBI in five games... appeared in four games for North Shore in the Hawaiian Winter League, hitting .308 (4x13) in 14 at-bats...
