Jason spent the entire 2013 season with Louisville (AAA) in the Cincinnati Reds' organization...limited to 78
games after missing five weeks of action with a right shoulder injury, going on the disabled list April 28...Hit .310 (13-for-42) with five doubles and a homer over his first 10 games...but just .202 (42-for-208) in his final 68 contests.

Donald entered spring training as the hopeful starting third baseman before a broken left hand ended his exhibition season and delayed the start of his 2011 campaign, which eventually began in AAA Columbus and ended on a successful note in Cleveland...His .318 average was the 15th highest mark in the AL in the second half (min 100PA). ..Was hit by pitch on the left hand vs. Chicago-AL (Gavin Floyd) on March 5 and was later diagnosed with a fractured left hand after returning to play 4 days later only to experience more soreness...Was placed on the 15-day DL on March 22 and began a rehab assignment on April 10 and was later optioned to AAA Columbus on April 29...Recalled on July 31 when Orlando Cabrera was traded to SF and spent the remainder of the season with Cleveland...At AAA Donald hit .310 (54-174) with 32 runs scored, 12 doubles, 4 HR and 15RBI (.397 OBP/.448 SLG/.845 OPS) in 47 games (19G at 3B, 25G at SS) at Columbus in 2011...With the Clippers he hit .357 (20-56) with a HR and 4RBI off left-handed pitching and his average climbed each month of the season (.250 in April, .280 in May, .315 in June, .320 in July)...In 16 second half games he hit .339 (21-62) with 7 2B & 5RBI...Was on the minor league DL from May 11-June 19 with a left knee sprain...Also appeared in 9 games at AA Akron rehabbing from the two injuries...Overall with Cleveland made 19 starts at second base (19G), 3 starts at third base (4G) and 10 starts at shortstop (16G)...Enjoyed a career-long 8-game hitting streak from August 23-Sept 2...From August 21 thru the end of the season he hit .350 (36-103) w/10RS, 4 2B, 1HR & 6RBI over his final 29 games (.803OPS)....From August 23-on he hit .358 (34-95)...Had a .949 OPS vs. LHP...Hit .341 (15-44) in the 7-hole in the order, .206 (16-54) with runners on base and .316 (6-19) with RISP-2outs...Reported to Fall Instructional League after the season where he played some outfield.

Donald, 24, entered the 2009 season as the No. 4 overall prospect in the Phillies organization according to Baseball America and the 69th best overall prospect in all of Minor League baseball by BA...Had an injury-plagued season, missing 6 weeks from June 12-July 27 after having left knee surgery (torn meniscus) and following his acquisition from Philadelphia he was limited to just 10 games with AAA Columbus due to a lower back injury...Opened the season on the AAA Lehigh Valley active roster and was hitting .230 (47-204) thru the first 51 games of the season before persistent knee soreness shut him down...Appeared in 9 games for the GCL Phillies before his activation on July 28 vs. Columbus (2-4, RS, 2B) and subsequent trade...Hit in 7 of the 10 games he appeared in with Columbus and went 1-for-3 w/a HR & 4RS on August 6 vs. Buffalo and was 3-for-4 w/3RS & a double vs. Indianapolis in his final game of August 13...Was 11-for-39 (.282) on the year vs. LHP...Added to 40-man roster on Nov 20.
