Signed a minor-league contract with Philadelphia and spent the entire season with Triple-A Lehigh Valley…Hit .288 (88-for-306) with a .756 OPS in 89 games...Played all three outfield positions, getting the most time in center field (58 games, 54 starts)…Also played 26 games (24 starts) in left field and one game in right field…Had six outfield assists and committed only three errors in 168 total chances (.982)...Drew a single-season career most 39 walks, against only 34 strikeouts…Had an 11.0 percent walk rate, the second best of his career (13.5 percent with St. Louis in 2013), and struck out in only 9.6 percent of his plate appearances…Both of those totals were easily better than his career averages (8.6 percent career walk rate and 14.1 percent career strikeout rate)...Was sidelined on the injured list with a left hip sprain from 5/30-6/15.

Spent his first full season at the Major League level aside from injury rehab stint at Springfield (AA) during his stay on the disabled list (7/31-8/15) for a right shoulder strain... Played in 99 games, starting 30 (5 LF, 21 CF, 4 RF). Posted an RBI in each of his last four games started... Had five multi-hit games with two three-hit games, tying his career-best... Stole a season-best five bases, while tying his season-high of 16 RBI and 22 runs... Went 5-for-18 (.278) as a pinch-hitter. The 5 PHs were T2nd-most on the team (Matt Adams, 11)... Homered twice in the span of a week with solo home runs vs. ARI (6/4) and at NYM (6/11)... Hit his first MLB triple (7/24 vs. PHI).

Rookie OF began the season on the Major League roster and spent the majority of his season with St. Louis. Made 29 starts (CF-27, RF-1, LF-1). Led all MLB rookies with 11 pinch-hits (T9th among all National League players). Led the team with 48 pinch at-bats. Was optioned 5/12 (Berkman activated) butrecalled three days later(5/15, Jay DL). Remained on the roster until an option on 7/13 to Memphis (AAA), before a final recall on 8/3. Had one of his best offensive games 6/7 at HOU, going 3-4 with HR &2 RBI. Went 2-4 with game-winning RBI(1st of his career) 7/1 vs.PIT. Batted .300 BA(21-70) with 5 steals in 18 games while at Triple-A. 2012 POSTSEASON: Played in his first Major League postseason...appeared in 10 games with nine plate apps.(pinch ran)....went 0-6 as a pinch hitter, with one pinch walk and appeared in the field three times (two in LF,once in RF) ... walked & scored in pinch AB during Division Series Game 5 at Washington...had RBI groundout in League Championship Series Game 3 vs. San Francisco.

Started the season at Memphis (AAA) before a fractured cheek bone, suffered in an outfield collision with Andrew Brown just six games into the season, sidelined him for nearly three months (4/17-7/14). Finished the season in St. Louis following his purchase on 9/2. ... Played nine games at the Major League level recording seven at-bats while filling in defensively at all three outfield positions. ... In 56 total minor league games, batted .309 (68-220) with 7 HR and 31 RBI and was 9-of-10 in stolen base attempts. ... Despite playing in only 43 games at Memphis, ranked third on the team in triples (3) and stolen bases (9). ... Rehabbed for six games with the Gulf Coast Cardinals (R) from 7/6-13 before getting recalled to Springfield (AA). ... Batted .484 (15-31) in seven games in Springfield (AA), recording a hit in each game and going 5-for-5 with his first career multi-HR game vs. Tulsa (7/20). ... Hit walk-off grand slam vs. Iowa (8/1) off Scott Maine with two outs in the bottom of the 9th. It was his second multi-HR game during the season and second in 12 days.
