Selected by the Cubs in the 13th round of the 2002 draft, Micah made his major league debut in 2008 and now enters his ninth year in the system ... saw his most extensive big league action last season, appearing in 105 games for Chicago. ... Has hit .287 (727-for-2529) with 394 runs, 160 doubles, 99 home runs, 490 RBI and 217 walks in 698 minor league games. ... Put together a career-high 12-game hit streak, April 9-20, batting .425 (20-for-47) with 23 RBI and five home runs while striking out just three times. ...
