Played for Venezuela in the 2009 World Baseball Classic...was a minor league All-Star in 2008 (Texas League), 2007 (Carolina League), 2006 (South Atlantic League) and 2005 (Appalachian League)...also in 2005 was the Appalachian League's co-Most Valuable Player.

2013

Spent the season at KC's Class AAA affiliate in Omaha, where he served as the club's primary designated hitter...also made 19 apps at 1B and 3 apps at C...on 11/8 was signed by the Reds to a minor league contract with an invitation to 2014 Major League spring training camp...played for Margarita in the Venezuelan Winter League (36g, .274, 11 2b, 5hr, 13rbi).

2012

Max spent the entire campaign with Triple-A Omaha, playing 58 games as the DH, 39 games at catcher and another 11 at first base.

2011

Max played for three different organizations' Triple-A clubs, opening the campaign at Iowa in the Cubs system before moving to Oklahoma City (Astros) and Fresno (Giants).

2010

Max began the year at Triple-A Oklahoma City before he was recalled by Texas, April 27 ... hit .217 (15-for-69) with two homers and eight RBI in 28 games for the Rangers before he was optioned back to Triple-A for the remainder of the season, July 2. ... The Rangers were 18-10 in games he appeared in, including a 15-7 mark in contests he started behind the dish. ... Threw out four of 12 baserunners attempting to steal from April 29- June 8 ... however, the next 14 stolen base attempts through June 30 were successful. ... Batted .286 (54-for-189) in 56 games for Oklahoma City ... recorded a .373 on-base percentage. ... At Triple-A, hit .294 (40-for-136) off right-handed pitching compared to a .264 mark (14-for-53) off southpaws. ... Enjoyed a torrid August, hitting .355 (22-for-62) with 15 RBI in 19 games for Oklahoma City. ... Played with Tiburones de La Guaira in the Venezuelan Winter League.

2009

Did not see game action with Texas, despite being recalled for 2 days, May 1-2, following the DL-placement of Josh Hamilton...spent the bulk of the season at Triple-A Oklahoma City, batting .234 (64-274) with 5 homers, 13 doubles and 43 RBI over 76 games for the RedHawks...posted a .319 (29-91) average vs. lefties, but hit just .191 (35-183) vs. right-handers...batted no higher than .241 (May) in any single month, but still excelled in clutch situations...hit .292 (26-89) with 35 RBI w/ RISP and .333 (13-39) with 15 RBI w/ RISP and 2 outs...was at the plate for back-to-back walk-off wins vs. Nashville on June 20 (2-run homer) and June 21 (sac bunt/throwing error)...appeared in 42 games behind the plate, registering a .991 fielding pct. (3 E/321 TC)...nabbed 10 of 42 attempted base-stealers (23.8%)...had a pair of DL stints, May 31-June 8 (sore right wrist) and July 6-Aug. 14 (left wrist tendinitis)...went on rehab assignment with Arizona Rangers from Aug. 9-14, going 2-for-13 (.154) with 2 doubles and 2 RBI.

2008

In his first full season with the Texas organization, Ramirez made his big league debut with the Rangers following Gerald Laird's hamstring injury in late June...went 10-for-46 (.217) with one double, 2 home runs and 9 RBI over 17 games with Texas...had 2 separate stints in the majors, June 21-July 26 and Sept. 15-end of season...began the year with Frisco (AA), and led the Texas League in average, on-base percentage, and slugging at the time of his initial call to the big leagues...endured a hip flexor injury while with Oklahoma (AAA) in July/August, but returned to the Rangers as a September call-up after the Pacific Coast League playoffs...was rated as Rangers' 13th-best prospect by Baseball America before the season.

2007

In his first year at the High-A level, combined to hit .304 with 16 home runs, 30 doubles, and 82 RBI in 109 games for Kinston in Carolina League and Bakersfield in California League...had a .419 OBP and .504 slugging pct...selected to play in MLB Futures Game, hitting a double in the game on July 8 in San Francisco...rated as having best strike-zone judgment in Carolina League by Baseball America after the season...also rated by publication as that league's 4th-best prospect...also named league's postseason All-Star catcher by Baseball America...spent most of year with Kinston, compiling a .924 OPS...went 0-for-2 as starting catcher for Carolina League squad in Carolina/California All-Star Game on June 19 at Stockton...acquired by Texas in July 27 trade and assigned to Bakersfield...played 14 games for La Guaira in Venezuelan Winter League.

2006

Ramirez spent the first half of the 2006 season with the Class A Rome Braves where he hit .285 (76-267) with 17 doubles, 9 homers & 37 RBI in 80 games and was a selected to the 2006 South Atlantic League All-Star Game (50RS, 54BB, 80G)...Started 53 games in the clean-up spot for Rome...Hit .339 (21-62) with 2HR & 10RBI in 18 April games...Homered in his first at bat with the A Lake County Captains at West Virginia...Recorded an RBI in 7 straight games from August 25-Sept. 2...Made 36 starts in the #4 hole for the Captains...Hit in 13 of 14 games from August 18 to Sept. 2...Combined on the year he hit .292 (115-394) with 23 2B, 13HR & 63RBI in 117 games (69RS, 84BB)...Hit a combined .333 (40-120) off LHP and .274 (75-274) off RHP with w/9HR & 48RBI...Hit .263 (46-175) with RISP and .273 (53-194) with runners on base.

2005

Converted to catcher... Was named the Co-Most Valuable Player of the Appalachian League after hitting .347 (83-239) with 19 doubles, 8 homers and 47RBI in 63 games...He led the Appy League in hits, was 2nd in the league in average and was 3rd in RBI, doubles and total bases (126)...Was 4th in walks (31), 3rd in on-base % (.424) and 4th in slugging % (.527)... He was named to the Post-Season All-Star Team and after the season was ranked by Baseball America as the 5th best prospect in the entire Appy League.

2004

Spent season at the Gulf Coast League Braves where he led the GCL in extra-base hits (25), doubles (16), and homers (8), while finishing 2nd in total bases (98) and RBI (35)...was 3rd in slugging (.480) and hits (56)...spent the year at 3rd base.
