Played college baseball at Kansas...ended his career as the Jayhawks' all-time career home run leader, totaling 29 in three seasons (2002-04)...hit 18 home runs in 2004, a single-season school record...named Honorable Mention All-Big 12 in 2004, batting .285 with 16 doubles, 18 home runs and 58 RBI in 63 games.

Spent the entire season at Frisco (AA)...ranked 2nd on the team in walks (45), games (121) and T2nd in stolen bases (9)...also ranked 4th in hits (94), home runs (8) and runs scored (51)...batted .190 (11-58) over his first 18 games, but hit .280 (33-116) over his next 32 games, improving his average to .253...had hits in 7 of 8 games from July 13-21 and batted .343 (12-35) with 5 doubles, 2 home runs and 3 RBI...also doubled in 4 consecutive games from July 18-21...hit .195 (42-215) in 60 road contests and .248 (52- 210) in 61 home games...also hit .238 (24-101) off left-handed pitching and .216 (70-324) against righties.
