Began the season at Triple-A Rochester...went 2-for-4 with two runs and two rbi in his first game April 7...had five multi-hit games in April...went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two rbi, May 1...had a 10-game hitting streak, going 16-for-38 (.421), June 25-July 4...hit .303 (27-for-89) vs. lefties and .337 (29-for-86) in 27 day games...had contract selected August 8 after spending 10 years in the Twins Minor League system...made Major League debut as pinch-hitter, August 10 at Los Angeles (AL)...singled off Jarrod Washburn for first career hit, August 15 at Seattle...season-high seven-game hit-streak, going 10-for-24 (.417), August 15-22...disabled for remainder of season with lower abdominal muscle strain, August 23.
