Full name is Brian Nikola Anderson...attended Canyon Del Oro High in Tucson, Ariz., where he was named 5A State "Player of the Year" by the Arizona Baseball Coaches Association in 2000...played baseball at the University of Arizona...was named to the 2003 Baseball America and USA Today Second-Team All-America squads in 2003 following his junior season...created TeamAnderson in 2008, a mentoring program bene tting residents of Mercy Home for Boys and Girls in Chicago.
2010
Saw his first action as a pitcher, combining to make 14 appearances (four starts) with the ASL Royals, Single-A Burlington and Triple-A Omaha (0-0, 2.08 ERA) of the Kansas City Royals organization.
2009
Split the year between the White Sox and Red Sox organizations...made an appearance for Boston as a defensive replacement in Game 3 of the ALDS vs. the Angels...did not have an at bat.
