He was with the Rangers from May 23 to July 11. He was 1-for-10 left-handed and 10-for-40 right-handed. He hit his first Major League home run on May 28 off of Oakland pitcher Kirk Saarloos. He was 8-for-27 (.296) between May 24 and June 11 before getting just five hits in his last 25 at-bats. Played 63 games at Triple-A Oklahoma, hitting .309 with 13 home runs and 39 RBI. He had a .398 on-base percentage there and a .582 slugging percentage. He missed the final three weeks of the season with a fractured hamate bone.
