Full name CHRISTOPHER JOHN SEDDON...Married, Shiloh...Graduated from Canyon High School (CA) in 2001...Offered a full scholarship to play baseball at Loyola Marymount but signed with the Devil Rays...Originally selected by Tampa Bay in the 5th round of the 2001 June draft.
2011
Spent entire season at Triple-A Tacoma where he went 9-7 w/a 6.27 ERA in 28 games/25GS (149.1IP, 180H, 104ER)...Was 4-4 w/a 5.78 ERA at home for the Rainiers (62.1IP, 83H, 40ER)...Was 2-1 w/a 5.22 ERA over his last 5 starts on the year (29.1IP, 30H, 17ER)....Won 3 straight starts, June 3-14...Did not allow a run over his first two outings on the year covering 13.0IP (6H, 10K)...ERA in April was 3.77 (28.2IP, 27H, 12ER) and ERA in June was 3.34 (5GS, 35.0IP, 26H, 13ER, 28K).
2010
Split the season between Seattle and Tacoma (AAA)...was 1-0, 5.64 ERA (14 ER, 22.1 IP) in 14 relief appearances with Seattle...recorded first Major League win July 24 vs. Boston (1.0 IP, 1 K)...made Mariners debut July 17 at LAA retiring all 5 batters he faced...was his first MLB appearance since Sept. 29, 2007 at New York Mets (with FLA)... selected from Tacoma during the All-Star break (July 15)...as a Pacific Coast League All- Star but did not play after being selected by Seattle...at time of selection to Seattle was T1st in the Pacific Coast League in wins (10), shutouts (2) and complete games (2)...went 10-4 with 3.39 ERA (38 ER, 101.0 IP) in 18 games, 15 starts with the Rainiers...named PCL Pitcher of the Week June 14-20; tossed shutout June 15 at Colorado Springs.
2009
Made 25 appearances (24 starts) for the Tacoma Rainiers...ranked 2nd on the team in starts and wins (9), and 3rd in innings pitched (131.2) and strikeouts (80)...went 4-2 with 2.94 ERA (17 ER, 52.0 IP) over 9 starts in June & July...won 3 consecutive starts twice; May 25-June 4 & July 9-30...on the disabled list July 10-24 with a left ankle sprain.

Spent the entire season with Albuquerque (AAA) in the Florida Marlins organization... ranked 5th in the Pacific Coast League with 126 strikeouts and T2nd with 2 complete games...went 8-2, 4.48 (42 ER, 84.1 IP) in 14 starts at home, and 2-7, 5.85 (44 ER, 67.2 IP) on the road...went 7-6, 3.89 (47 ER, 108.2 IP) with a .273 opponents batting average in 19 G/18 GS prior to the All-Star break...selected to play in the Triple-A All-Star game in Louisville, KY, and pitched a perfect inning of relief...went 3-3, 8.10 (39 ER, 43.1 IP) in 9 starts following the All-Star break.

Appeared in seven games (four starts) with Marlins, going 0-2 with 8.83 ERA ... made Major League debut September 3 at Washington, tossing scoreless inning (1 H, 2 SO) of relief ... made first Major League start in third outing, September 11 vs. Washington ... did not factor into decision in that start, allowing seven earned runs (8 H, 7 ER, 1 BB, 4 SO) in 3.0 innings ... recorded career-high four strikeouts ... Went 0-2 with 10.67 ERA in four starts, compared to 0-0 with 0.00 ERA in three relief outings (3.0 innings) ... went season-best 5.0 innings in start September 23 vs. New York-NL, yielding two earned runs (3 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 2 SO) and receiving no decision ... Led Triple-A Durham with 28 starts, 154.2 innings pitched (3rd most in the organization) and 9 wins as the lone starter on the staff for the entire season...ranked second on the club with 108 strikeouts, his 3rd straight year surpassing 100 K's...Won three times in his first four starts allowing only three earned runs over the stretch...took the loss April 30 allowing 6 runs in 4.0 innings at Syracuse (Blue Jays)...was his first career loss in the month of April (had been 10-0 entering the game)...Allowed a staff-most and career-high 20 home runs, 19 by right-handers...this despite a stretch of 8 straight starts in which he did not allow a long ball, May 28-July 5 (40.1 IP)...Credited with a complete game Aug 8 at Charlotte (White Sox) in game one of a doubleheader...surrendered a 2-run walk-off home run with 1 out in the bottom of the 7th inning taking the loss...was the 2nd CG of his career, both coming in 7-inning contests and both losses...Tied his career high throwing 7.2 innings July 28 at Columbus (Yankees) and again in his final start of the year Sept 4 at Norfolk (Mets)...Attended his first major league spring training...appeared in 3 games throwing 5.0 scoreless innings with a walk and 4 strikeouts while opponents batted .176 (3-for-17).

Split the season between Montgomery (AA) and Triple-A Durham, making a career-high 29 starts ... Struck out 116 batters combined, the 3rd most in organization ... Collected a season high 8 K's July 5 vs. Toledo (DET) ... Was 4-9 with a 5.46 ERA (IP-95.2, ER-58) in 19 starts with the Bulls, walking 43 while striking out 70 ... Had his toughest outing June 25 at Buffalo (CLE) when he lasted a season-low 2.1 IP ... Failed to record a strikeout in the start; just the second time in his career he did not fan a batter (also July 10, 2003 at Lake Elsinore) ... His 9 losses led Durham ... Was the opening day starter for Montgomery ... won six of his seven decisions with the Biscuits and was tied for the Southern League lead in wins at the time of his promotion ... While at Montgomery, he held lefthanders to a .213 batting average but was touched for a .318 mark by lefties at Durham ... Was 2-0 in April despite working to a 7.03 ERA ... is undefeated in his pro career in the month of April (7-0) ... Attended his first major league spring training ... appeared in one "A" game tossing 2.0 scoreless innings against Boston.

Made 28 starts in 2004 combined between Bakersfield (A) and Montgomery, limiting opponents to 2 ER or less in 19 of those outings ... Compiled a 5-0 record with the Blaze and a 9-10 mark with the Biscuits becoming just the second Rays minor leaguer ever to record 14 wins in a single season (Scott Autrey was the first in 2003) ... Fanned 143 batters combined, second most among Rays' minor leaguers ... Led Montgomery with 102 strikeouts ... Was credited with his first career complete game on Aug. 3 at Carolina (Marlins) in a 7-inning, 1-0 loss to the Mudcats ... his line: 6.0-IP, 5-H, 1-R/ER, 1-BB, 4-SO ... Won his first 7 decisions of the year ... Didn't suffer his first loss until May 27, a 0-7 blanking by Greenville (Braves), a game in which he collected a career-high 12 strikeouts in just 6.0 innings of work (6-H, 2-R, 1-ER, 2-BB) ... Allowed a team-high 19 HRs in 21 starts with Montgomery...was touched for a career-high 4 home runs June 11, at West Tenn. (Cubs) ... Had allowed just 1 homer in his previous 68.1 IP (12 G) ...
