SUMMARY: Tallied 13 at-bats with the Padres in 2006, all as a pinch-hitter...hit .230 (3-for-13) with a home run, double, three RBI and three runs scored...belted his first Major League double Sept. 12 at Cincinnati, driving in a run as part of a three-run rally...clubbed his first Big League home run Sept. 6 vs. Colorado, a two-run, walk-off blast in the 11th inning...recalled from Triple-A Portland Sept. 5...also played with the Padres in May, assuming the roster spot of the injured Rob Bowen...connected for his first Major League pinch-hit May 24 vs. Atlanta.

MAC ATTACK: Spent the bulk of the season at Portland and ranked among the Pacific Coast League leaders with a .310 batting average (148-for-478), 34 doubles, 19 home runs, 79 RBI, 62 walks, and 76 runs scored over 125 games...trailed only Jon Knott (113) on the team in RBI...placed fifth in the PCL in hits (148) and doubles...played 70 games at first base, 50 games at third base, and six games in the outfield...primarily hit third in the Beavers lineup.

2003

Won the Pioneer League batting title (.379) in his first professional season at Idaho Falls...was named to the league's postseason All-Star team (DH) after leading the circuit with 29 doubles, ranking second with a .488 on-base percentage, .604 slugging percentage and 37 extra-base hits...was tied for second among league leaders with 89 hits and finished fi fth with 56 runs scored...hit safely in a season-high nine consecutive games, July 8-22...went on to reach base safely via a hit or walk in 21 straight games, July 8-August 4...closed the month of July with a .416 batting average (32-for-77) in 23 games...went 4-for-4 with a double, homer and a career-best fi ve RBI August 24 vs. Provo... posted his second five-RBI game just five days later with his first career multi-homer game (two), August 29 at Ogden...named Pioneer League Player of the Week for August 26-September 1.

2005

Started the season at Double-A Mobile where he appeared in a combined 79 games batting .279 with 10 homers and 42 RBI before earning a promotion to Triple-A Portland on July 22...continued to hit well at Portland, posting a .344 average (52-for-151) with six home runs and 27 RBI over 38 games... was recalled by the Padres on two occasions, the first being June 22...made his Major League debut that evening vs. Los Angeles with a pinch-hit appearance (0-for-1)...saw action in nine games, including notching his first big league hit on June 24 vs. Seattle...was optioned back to Mobile on July 3, appearing in 13 more games for the BayBears before rejoining Portland...Opened the season as the everyday left fielder for the BayBears...went 3-for-4 in his first contest and went on to tally 20 multi-hit games...had a season best 16-game hitting streak from June 3-21, when he hit .328 (21-for-64) with two home runs and 11 RBI...Notched 52 hits, including 21 extra-base hits, in just 38 games with Portland...hit safely in nine of his first 10 games, a .372 clip with 10 RBI and three home runs...tallied a season-high four hits on August 28 vs. Las Vegas...hit .397 (25-for-63) in 16 road games...Was recalled for the second time on September 1...finished the season batting .208 (5-for-24) with four runs scored in 22 games...swiped the first base of his career, September 30 vs. Los Angeles.
