In his first full Major League season, made 71 appearances out of the Marlins bullpen, posting a 3-2 record and a career-best 3.09 ERA. Started the season with triple-A Sacramento in the Oakland Athletics organization before being summoned to the Big League club three times over the final two months of the season... led River Cats in wins and ranked second in strikeouts...After dropping his first start of the season with Sacramento, rolled off five straight wins over his next eight appearances (4.00 ERA)...also won his final four decisions (eight starts), from June 22-July 30, posting a 3.66 ERA (51.2 IP/21 ER)...As a starter, went 9-5 with 4.40 ERA (114.2 IP/56 ER)...in two appearances out of the bullpen, had a 1-0 record and 5.63 ERA (8.0 IP/5 ER)...Tossed a season-high 8.0 innings two times; July 8 vs. Colorado Springs and July 25 at Albuquerque...Recalled by Oakland on August 3...saw first action of the season that same day at Boston, tossing 1.0 scoreless inning with one strikeout...Posted no record and 4.97 ERA (12.2 IP/7 ER) in seven relief appearances and a 0-4 mark with 9.60 ERA (15.0 IP/16 ER) in four starts.

2007

2006

The left-hander spent 2006 with Triple-A Sacramento and went 3-3 with a 5.07 ERA in 10 starts. He allowed a .315 opponents batting average and gave up 10 homers. Lefties hit .411 against Meyer with eight homers. He never got past six innings in 10 starts, and gave up at least one earned run in nine of his starts. Since pitching two games with the Braves in 2004, Meyer hasn't seen any action in the big leagues.

2005

Spent his first season in the A's organization at Triple-A Sacramento and was 2-8 with a 5.36 ERA in 19 games, 17 starts...it was the first time in his career he had an ERA above 2.87...had career highs in earned runs (53), home runs (15) and walks (43) and matched his high in runs (64)...his two wins were the fewest of his career but he had two stints on the disabled list with shoulder problems...led the River Cats pitching staff in losses and home runs allowed...allowed a .286 opponents batting average which included a .277 (23 for 83) mark against left-handed hitters and .289 (78 for 270) against right-handers...allowed 13 of his 15 home runs to righties...yield a .308 (82 for 266) opponents batting average over the first four innings of a game and .218 (19 for 87) after that...opponents batted .270 (24 for 89) with runners in scoring position, including .317 (13 for 41) with RISP and two outs...was 0-5 with a 5.53 ERA (35 er in 57.0 ip) in 12 games at home compared to 2-3 with a 5.06 ERA (18 er in 32.0 ip) in seven games on the road...Sacramento had a 6-11 (.353) record in his starting assignments...tossed five innings or fewer 11 of his 17 starts, including fewer than five innings five times...lost each of his first two starts before recording his first win on April 19 at Tacoma, despite walking a season high five in 5.0 innings (5 h, 1 r, 1 er, 4 so)...allowed a season high nine runs in 4.2 innings in a loss at Tucson on May 5...allowed a season high three home runs in his next start on May 10 against Oklahoma...was 1-3 with a 6.62 ERA (26 er in 35.1 ip), .303 (43 for 142) opponents batting average and 10 home runs allowed over his first seven starts before he was placed on the disabled list on May 11 with a strained left shoulder...went 1-5 with a 4.53 ERA (27 er in 53.2 ip), .275 (58 for 211) opponents batting average and five home runs allowed over his final 12 games, 10 starts...was reinstated from the DL on June 23 and his first two appearances came in relief (2.1 ip, 2 h, 2 r, 2 er, 2 bb, 2 so, 7.71 ERA)...was 2-8 with a 5.30 ERA (51 er in 86.2 ip) in his 17 starts...lost three consecutive starts from July 14-24 (10 er in 14.1 ip, 6.28 ERA), giving him a season high four-game losing streak dating back to May 5...picked up his second and final win of the season on July 29 at Memphis when he struck out a season high seven and matched his season high with 7.0 innings pitched (4 h, 1 r, 2 bb)...also tossed 7.0 innings on April 30 against Tucson and August 15 against Fresno...went on the DL for a second time on August 22 with tendinitis in his left shoulder and missed the remainder of the season.

2004

Made his Major League debut with Atlanta during September in just his third professional season...was selected from Triple-A Richmond on September 14 and did not allow a run in two relief appearances with the Braves (2.0 ip, 2 h, 1 bb, 1 so)...made his debut on September 14 at New York with a scoreless eighth inning (1.0 ip, 1 h, 1 so) and faced the Mets again two days later (1.0 ip, 1 h, 1 bb)...spent the balance of the season at Double-A Greenville and Richmond where he combined to post a 9-6 record and a 2.49 ERA in 26 games, 24 starts...his ERA ranked 10th in all of minor league baseball and his win total was a career high...has never had an ERA above 2.87 at any minor league stop and has a 2.71 ERA (106 er in 352.0 ip) in 67 career minor league outings...struck out 146 and walked just 37 in 126.1 innings...averaged 10.4 strikeouts per nine innings and had a strikeout to walk ratio of 3.9 to 1...ranked fourth in the Atlanta farm system in strikeouts and ERA...allowed a .236 opponents batting average which included a .205 (16 for 78) mark against left-handers and .242 (96 for 396) against righthanders...all seven of his home runs allowed were against right handed hitters...allowed one run or fewer 16 of his 24 starts, walked two batters or fewer 21 times and allowed four hits or fewer 12 times...opened the season at Greenville, going 6-3 with a 2.22 ERA...led his team in wins, strikeouts, starts and ERA at time of his promotion...ranked third in the Southern League in ERA when he was moved up...ended up tying for second on the club in wins...allowed just one home run in 65.0 innings...did not allow an earned run in four April outings (14.0 ip, 7 h, 1 r, 4 bb, 15 so)...tossed a season high 7.0 innings on May 16 at Huntsville and May 27 at Montgomery...won his final two Double-A starts, striking out a season high 11 batters in 6.0 innings on June 17 against Chattanooga and fanning 10 in 6.0 innings on June 23 at West Tenn...was promoted to Richmond on June 27 and was 3-3 with a 2.79 ERA in 12 games, 11 starts...allowed a .164 (10 for 61) opponents average with runners in scoring position at Triple-A...went 2-0 with a 0.92 ERA (2 er in 19.2 ip) over his final four regular season outings...then made one postseason start for in Game 2 of the International League semi-finals and had a no decision (6.0 ip, 2 h, 1 r, 1 er, 1 bb, 3 so).

2003

Was named the Braves number five prospect by Baseball America...honored with a selection to the South Atlantic League, Southern Division, All-Star team...spent the entire season at the Single-A level and was a combined 7-10 with a 2.87 ERA in 28 starts at Rome of the South Atlantic League and Myrtle Beach of the Carolina League...had career highs in starts, innings (160.0) and strikeouts (158)...finished tied for eighth in all of minor league baseball in strikeouts...ranked second in the Atlanta farm system in strikeouts and third in ERA...walked just 32 for a strikeout to walk ratio of 4.9 to 1...allowed a .242 opponents batting average which included a .220 (97 for 441) mark against right-handers and .306 (48 for 157) against lefthanders... allowed 12 of his 13 home runs against right-handers...allowed two runs or fewer in 18 of his 28 starts...did not walk a batter 10 times and issued just one free pass another 10 times...began the season at Rome and was 4-4 with a 2.87 ERA in 15 starts...including 2-0 with a 1.88 ERA in April...was transferred to Myrtle Beach on June 26 where he went 3-6 with a 2.87 ERA in 13 starts...compiled a 1.96 ERA (8 er in 36.2 ip) over his final six starts but was just 1-3 over that span.

2002

Began his professional career with Danville of the Appalachian Rookie League and was 3-3 with a 2.74 ERA in 13 games, all starts...tied for the league lead in complete games (1), ranked third in strikeouts (77) and fifth in ERA...led his team in strikeouts...allowed a .198 opponents batting average...recorded his first professional win on July 12 against Martinsville...went 2- 1 with a 1.67 ERA in five starts in August...struck out a season high 10 in his final start on August 23 at Princeton.
