2006

Spent the entire season at AAA Ottawa but joined the Orioles for one day in April without appearing in a game...Was recalled by the Orioles on April 18 when David Newhan was placed on the disabled list...Was optioned back to the Lynx the next day, with Luis Terrero taking his spot on the roster. wBatted .162 in his first 12 games of the season at Ottawa before suffering a strained right oblique muscle... Missed one month and returned on May 23, collecting 3 hits at Charlotte in his first game back...Batted .273 (78-286) in 87 games the rest of the season...Batted .341 (30-88) with 13 RBI in 25 games in July...Collected a season-high 3 hits 3 times...Had three 6-game hitting streaks during the year...Had 6-game streaks in June and July and hit safely in his final 6 games of the season...Played 46 games in left field, 28 games in right field and 11 games at first base...Batted .328 (22-67) in 19 games as designated hitter...Hit .293 (24-82) with 2 homers off left-handed pitchers but only .249 (60-241) with 2 homers off righties.

2005

Re-injured his left shoulder early in spring training and spent the entire season on the major league 60-day disabled list...Orioles orthopedist Dr. Andrew Cosgarea performed slap repair surgery on the shoulder on 3/4 in Baltimore...Rehabbed throughout the summer and played in the Arizona Fall League with Peoria...Batted .274 with 2 homers and 10 RBI in 24 games.

2004

Spent most of the season at AA Bowie before joining the Orioles in August and appearing in 9 games. Earned the Brooks Robinson Award as the Orioles' Minor League Player of the Year after leading the organization's minor leaguers with a .307 batting average and ranking 2nd with 80 RBI. Finished 8th in the Eastern League with a .307 average...Despite missing the last 3 weeks of the season, ranked among Baysox' leaders in RBI (2nd, 80), stolen bases (2nd, 14), runs (T2nd, 71), hits (T3rd, 133), total bases (3rd, 212) and home runs (4th, 15). Played in the MLB Futures Game at Minute Maid Park in Houston and went 0-for-1...Was named to the mid-season and end of season Double-A All-Star teams. Contract was purchased by the Orioles on August 18 and he made his Major League debut on August 20 vs. Toronto, flying out as a pinch-hitter. Started in right field on August 21 and collected his first big league hit off the Blue Jays' Dave Bush that day. Appeared in 9 games, including 3 starts, with the Orioles...Only other hit came on September 1 at Tampa Bay, when he delivered a pinch-hit RBI double and later scored. Suffered a torn glenoid labrum in his left shoulder and did not play after September 8. At Bowie, played 52 games in left field, 42 games in center field and 24 games in right field. Had 5 hits against Erie on April 16 and had 4 hits on May 23 versus Erie...Had a season-high 6 RBI on July 22 against Reading. Was batting .358 (19-53) through his first 13 games, then fell to .277 after going 12-for-51 (.235) from April 30 through May 22...Went 14-for 31 (.452) in his next 6 games and hit .320 over the remainder of the season for Bowie. Was named the Organizational Player of the Month for July after batting .344 (17-96) with 3 home runs, 21 RBI and 6 stolen bases.
