Made his Double-A debut, spending the entire season with Trenton...went 6-8 with a 4.41 ERA in 27 starts...led the Eastern League with 163.2 IP, was tied for first with his 27 starts and ranked ninth with 118 strikeouts...pitched into the seventh inning in 11 of his 27 starts...pitched 8.0 shutout innings (6H, 3K) on 6/13 vs. New Hampshire but did not receive a decision...went into the sixth inning of his start on 7/17 vs. Portland with a perfect-game, but ended up allowing 2ER on 3H in 7.0IP and suffered the loss...pitched 7.0 innings of two-hit shutout ball on 8/19 at Portland but did not receive a decision in the game.

Spent the majority of the season with Single-A Tampa, going 4-3 with a 3.61 ERA in 16 starts...was placed on the disabled list from 4/3-5/1 with a left elbow strain and again from 6/12-7/19 with a left shoulder strain...made two rehab starts with Rookie-League Tampa, going 1-1 with a 2.25 ERA.

Missed the entire season with left elbow surgery...despite the season-long injury, was ranked as the #10 prospect in the Yankees' organization by Baseball America .
