Went 7-1 with 9 saves in 12 chances at AAA Las Vegas after being invited to Major League camp with the Toronto Blue Jays. (64.0IP, 68H, 35ER, 20BB, 51K, .268AVG) in 58 relief outings...Tied for Pacific Coast League lead with 58 appearances...Recorded an ERA of 1.20 in 14 May outings (15.0IP, 8H, 2R/ER)...Allowed 7 runs (7ER) in 0.1IP on July 2 at Reno that took his season ERA at the time from 2.82 to 4.42...Otherwise had a season ERA of 3.96 in other 57 outings...Recorded a winter ball ERA of 1.52 in 24 relief outings (8SV, 23.2IP, 19H, 4ER, .20K, .221AVG) for Estrellas de Oriente in the Dominican Winter League.

In 47 apps at Class AAA Louisville and Class AA Chattanooga hit .167 (4hr, 24rbi, 5sb)...made his first career apps as a pitcher and in 10g at FSL and GCL Sarasota went 0-2, 5.50...from 4/15-4/28 was on Louisville's disabled list with a strained left quadriceps and from 6/29-8/27 was on FSL Sarasota's disabled list with a sprained right ankle...from 5/17-5/26 was on Chattanooga's suspended list...following the season was re-signed to a 2-year minor league contract through the 2010 season.
2007
Missed all but the last 5 days of the season following "Tommy John" surgery to repair the torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow (5/8/07, Dr. Timothy Kremchek)...was bothered by the injury during spring training and on 3/23 went on the 15-day disabled list...had surgery on 5/8...was transfered to the 60-day DL on 5/21, when the Reds claimed off waivers from the WSox IF Pedro Lopez...was reinstated from the DL on 9/26, following season-ending injuries to several other players...made his only appearance of the season as a pinch runner on 9/27 vs Hou...in spring training appeared in 17g (.176, 2 2b, 1 3b, 1hr, 4rbi)...on 12/12 was non-tendered but was re-signed to a minor league contract.
2006
In 128g at Class AAA Tucson and Class AA Tennessee combined to hit .256 with 28 doubles, 27hr and 89rbi...at Tennessee led the Southern League in homers (26) and ranked among the league leaders in RBI (86, 2nd), extra-base hits (59, 2nd), total bases (237, 2nd), slugging (.531, 2nd), runs scored (71, 4th) and triples (6, 5th)...homered once every 17.15 plate apps, best ratio in the Southern League...overall appeared in 100g in the OF, 16g at SS, 11g at 2B and 4g at 3B...prior to 2006 predominately had played SS and had not made a professional appearance in the outfield... was Southern League Player of the Week for 8/14-8/20 and 8/28-9/4...following the season made 5 apps for Azucareros del Este in the Dominican Winter League.
2005
Because of a right knee injury appeared in just 55g at Class AA Tennessee...suffered the injury in spring training and began the season on Ari's disabled list following surgery...was on Ari's disabled list once (3/25-6/1) and Tennessee's DL twice (7/30-8/18, 8/21-rest of the season)...on 9/9 was transfered to the Diamondbacks' 60-day disabled list.
2004
Spent most of the season at Class AAA Tucson but made his Major League debut with 29 apps for the Diamondbacks...at 21 years old on 8/22 made his big league debut against the Reds and finished 1-for-3, including a single off Brandon Claussen in his first career plate appearance.
2003
At Class A South Bend led all Midwest League shortstops in putouts (225)...ranked third in the league with a team-high 8 triples...hit .311 when leading off...hit .375 in the playoffs, best on the team.
2002
At Class A Lancaster and Yakima was limited to 75 apps by a strained left quadriceps muscle...at Yakima recorded 14 stolen bases in 15 attempts, second-best percentage in the Northwest League (93%), and led NWL shortstops with 36 double plays turned.
2001
On 4/24 at West Michigan hit his first professional home run.
