Originally signed by the Atlanta Braves as a non-drafted free agent, 8-14-95...Jamestown Pitcher of the Year, 1999...missed the 2000 season after undergoing "Tommy John" surgery on his right elbow...made his Major League debut, 8-21-04 at Los Angeles...earned his first Major League win, 8-30-04 vs. San Francisco...traded to Detroit along with RHP Zach Miner in exchange for RHP Kyle Farnsworth, 7-31-05...earned his first Major League save 7-5-06 at Oakland...acquired by the Royals in exchange for LHP Danny Christensen, 7-13-07...made a career-high 43 appearances with the Royals in 2009...appeared in five games with Kansas City in 2010 before being granted his release so he could sign with the KIA Tigers of the Korean Baseball Organization...helped to coordinate a large donation of medical and fire equipment to his hometown over the past few years.

Walked just two batters after July 1 with the R-Braves (19 G, 31.1 IP)...Did not allow a run over his last six appreances at Richmond, 8/4-17 (10.2 IP, 2 H, BB, 11 K)...Was recalled by Atlanta on 8/18...Made his Major League debut 8/21 at LA, pitching the eighth inning.
