In his fourth season with Florida, posted career-highs in wins (4), games (73), walks (45) and strikeouts (58). Ranked second on the club in appearances and tied for 16th in the National League. Moved into sixth on the Marlins All-Time games pitched list (224)...Limited opposing hitters to a .237 average (53x224). Lefties posted a .277 average against (26x94) wihle right handed hitters batted only .208 (27x130). Went 2-5 with a 4.45 ERA in career-high 67 games with Marlins...also set career highs in innings, hits, runs, earned runs, home runs, hit batters and walks...tied a career high with 56 strikeouts...Earned first win of the year, April 7 at Washington, allowing no runs with two walks and three strikeouts in 2.2 innings...notched second victory, June 21 at Oakland, striking out two in 1.0 perfect inning of work...From Opening Day to May 14, led all NL relievers (min. 20 IP) with 0.99 ERA (27.1 IP/3 ER)...posted 1-1 record and 0.96 ERA (18.2 IP/2 ER) in 15 April appearances...Landed on 15-day Disabled List, August 24, due to a strained left hamstring...made two appearances following reinstatement from the DL, September 8, allowing no runs or hits in 0.2 innings...Among Marlins career pitching leaders, ranks T6th in holds (36) and 10th in games (151)...Inherited 28 runners on the season, allowing only nine to score (32%)...retired 44 of 67 first-batters faced (58%).

Did not allow a run in final 11 games (7.2 innings), from July 29 to end of season ... was 2-1 with 2.49 ERA in final 26 games, allowing seven earned runs in 25.1 innings ... allowed just eight of 38 (21.1 %) inherited runners to score ... Missed six weeks from August 3 to September 14 on 15-day DL with left shoulder strain.

Went 0-0 with one save and a 3.03 ERA in 27 appearances out of the bullpen during his first season in the Major Leagues...Was recalled from Albuquerque (AAA) on May 14 and made his Major League debut on May 18 at Atlanta, yielding one hit with one walk and one strikeout in 1.0 inning...did not allow a run in any of his first four Major League games (4.0 innings), before he was optioned to Albuquerque on May 30...recalled July 2 and pitched in one game before he was optioned July 6...pitched 3.0 innings and earned first career save on July 5 at Washington, allowing a career-high four earned runs on four hits with four walks and career-best six strikeouts...was recalled on July 29 and remained with Marlins for duration of season...allowed earned runs in just one of final 16 outings, giving up three earned runs in September 7 vs. Philadelphia...did not allow an earned run in his final 11 appearances...made longest career outing on August 2 vs. New York (NL), lasting 5.0 innings...Made 18 starts with Albuquerque, and went 8-2 with 3.40 ERA...finished among the club's leaders in wins (2nd), strikeouts (2nd), starts (4th) and innings (5th)...won final four decisions at Triple-A...picked up eighth win with seven-inning complete game in second game of doubleheader on July 19 vs. New Orleans, allowing two earned runs and six hits with three walks and three strikeouts...Went 0x1 at the plate...lined to short off the Mets' Steve Trachsel on August 2 during first Major League plate appearance...Went 2-1 with 3.00 ERA in six games (four starts) for Oriente in the Venezuelan Winter League.
