2007

Led Giants pitchers in wins (career-high 14) for 2nd time in 3 seasons (also 2005), despite missing final month of season due to left forearm tightness...led club in winning pct. (.636), while ranking 2nd in ERA (3.92), 3rd in innings (156.0), 3rd in quality starts (13) and 3rd for opp. avg. (.265)...however, struggled with command, tying for 3rd in NL with 87 walks...Giants were club-best 16-10 (.615) in his 26 opening assignments...despite missing final month, tied for 5th among NL left-handers for victories...became 11th SF left-hander to record at least 9 wins prior to All-Star Break, and 1st since Kirk Rueter won 10 in 1998...went 8-2 with 4.16 ERA (31er, 67.0ip) over his final 12 starts...however surrendered 13 runs over 8.0 frames in his last 2 starts before being shut down for season...limited lefties to .216 avg. Logged 1st action at single-A level, spending season with San Jose...was limited to 15 games (12 starts) with left shoulder tendinitis...still managed to log 6-5 record with 2.15 ERA (14er, 58.2ip)...got off to strong start and earned SJ's Player of Month honor for April by virtue of 2-1 ledger with 1.13 ERA (3er, 24.0ip), 24 strikeouts and 7 walks in 5 starts...however, made just 3 appearances over next 3 months...returned from shelf July 28 and was back in form for remainder of year, combining to go 4-1 with 1.59 ERA (5er, 28.1ip) in 7 games (6 starts)...was again named San Jose's Player of Month for August, fashioning 4-1 ledger with 2.01 ERA (5er, 22.1ip).

2001

Hit ground running in professional debut, going 1-1 with 3.60 ERA in 8 games (7 starts) for rookie-league Salem-Keizer...struck out 28, while surrendering just 8 free passes in 28.0 innings...helped Volcanoes win Northwest League championship.
