Infielder split season at Triple-A Memphis and St. Louis. Began the season with the Cardinals and played in five games
making two starts (.273, 5-11) before being optioned to Memphis on 4/29.
Played the majority of his games at second base while at Triple-A (47 games). Hit .224 in 57 games overall for the Redbirds.
Played six different positions for St. Louis - all outfield spots, second, third and shortstop. Committed five errors in the field.
Hit safely in 11 of his last 17 games (.318, 14-44) with five runs and eight RBI. Batted .285 in 64 games, 32 starts overall.
Made his second Opening Day roster with his first start on 4/16 at MIL in rightfield.
His pinch-hit single in the 8th on 8/4 vs. FLA started the team's three-run rally. Had a pinch-hit single to load bases in the 9th
on 8/7 vs. ATL that would lead to a Cardinals 5-3 victory on a D. Eckstein grand slam.
Was a single shy of the cycle 8/31 at FLA, hitting his first home run since 9/23/04. He tripled in the 4th, homered in the 5th and
doubled in the 7th.
2005 POSTSEASON - Was eligible to play in the Division Series vs. SD but did not appear...appeared in two games of the League
Championship Series vs. HOU...pinch-hit in Game 3 and stayed in to play third base...started at third in Game 5 and went 0-for-3.

Spent the year at Double-A Akron where he ranked fifth in the Eastern League with 87 runs scored.
Batted .297 for the Eastern League champions, helping the team to an 88-53 record.
Hit .407 in 24 games (35-for-86) in the month of August.
Played a club-high 127 games, including 126 at short and one at second. Had 19 doubles and stole 17 bases.
2002
Finished the season 5th in the Carolina League with a career-high 32 stolen bases for High-A Kinston. Played exclusively at shortstop and accumulated 606 chances at the position, 2nd-most in the CL. Struggled with a .202 clip through 5/8, but hit .298 throughout the remainder of the season. Had the 1st multi-homer game of his professional career with 2 shots on 5/26 at Winston Salem. Following the season, was selected by TB in the Major League portion of the Rule 5 draft on 12/16.
2001
Played 66 games for Single-A Columbus. Missed 2 months on the DL from 5/13-7/13 with a hamstring injury. Hit .311 before the DL stint but just .218 after his return.
2000
Spent most of the season with Rookie-level Burlington. Scored 4 runs vs. Danville on 8/27 and the next day was promoted to Short-A Mahoning Valley, where he hit .316 (6-for-19) in 5 games.
1999
Played for the Indians Dominican Summer League team, where he batted .256 (60-for-234) in 61 games. Was successful in 29 of his 34 stolen base attempts.
