Todd was 3-5 with a 5.68 ERA (37 ER/58.2 IP) in 13 games (11 starts) for the San Francisco Giants ... missed nearly two months on the disabled list due to a right quadriceps strain. © Held right-handed hitters to a .216 batting average (27-for-125), however, left-handed batters hit .316 (30-for-95) against him...Posted a 2.97 ERA (12 ER/36.1 IP) in six home games (five starts) compared to a 10.07 ERA (25 ER/22.1 IP) in seven games (six starts) away from AT&T Park...Landed on the disabled list, June 11, after straining his right quadriceps the day before in his start at Cincinnati ... tossed 2.0 shutout innings before leaving the game...After rehab stints with the AZL Giants and Triple-A Fresno, was activated, August 5...Made his final appearance with the Giants, August 8 in Atlanta - allowed hits to all four batters faced, surrendering one run out of the bullpen...Designated for assignment, August 9, and was granted his unconditional release, August 19.

2007

Was a solid contributor upon joining St. Louis via a waiver claim from the Kansas City organization on 5/15. Started 11 games for St. Louis and came out of the bullpen nine times. In his 11 starts for STL, went 3-1 with a 3.65 ERA (49.1 IP / 20 ER). The Cardinals were a sparkling 9-2 in those games. Had 15 K's & 6 BB's in his 14.1 IP of relief with Cardinals (0-1, 1.26 ERA). Combined to go 3-3 with a 4.54 ERA (79.1 IP / 50 ER) in 32 games (11 starts) combined between KC & STL. Began the season with Kansas City, going 0-1 with a 10.34 ERA in 12 relief outings for the Royals...only pitched in one game that turned out a win for KC. Was on the DL from 7/9-8/24 with a sprained right elbow, missing 39 games in the season's second half. Allowed just two earned runs in nine appearances (4 starts) from 7/8 to end of season for a 0.70 ERA (25.2 IP). The 0.70 ERA was lowest in the N.L. (min 25.0 IP) and limited opponents to a .100 batting avg. (8-for-80) over this span. Did not post a decision but allowed just two earned runs in 13.0 IP (1.38 ERA) in three straight starts to end his season. The Cards went 2-1 in those games. He started both of the Cardinals' 14-inning games: 6/20 vs. KC and 9/18 vs. PHI. Made his STL debut on 5/19 at DET, fanning 4 batters (then season-high by Cards reliever) with no walks. Moved into starting role on 5/30 at COL and earned an 8-4 win in his first Major League start. Allowed three runs in 5.0-plus innings, with two of the three runs via solo HR's. Helped his own cause with an RBI-single in the Cardinals five-run 5th inning. His first Cardinals loss came 7/3 vs. ARI - the first time the Cards had lost a game he pitched in since his first Cards action on May 19...the Cards had won nine straight when he was on the mound prior to this start. Made an injury rehab. start at Springfield (AA) 8/21 and was activated from DL prior to 8/24 game. Had a scoreless inning of relief in 5th on 8/24 vs. ATL, fanning one batter...it was his first relief appearance for the Cardinals since 5/26 vs. WSH.

2006

Claimed off waivers from the Marlins on June 9...went 0-2 with a 5.48 ERA (21.1 IP, 13 ER) in 18 relief appearances for Florida...Went 1-2 with a team-leading 3.63 ERA in 28 games for the Royals...allowed just 48 hits in 57.0 innings, for a .235 opponents batting average...As a Royal, held left-handed batters to a .198 (18-91) average while righties hit .265 (30-113) against him...held batters to a .185 (12-65) average with runners in scoring position...did not allow an extra-base hit with runners in scoring position...For KC, fared better on the road, posting a 2.28 ERA (23.2 IP, 6 ER) in 10 road appearances while recording a 4.59 ERA (33.1 IP, 17 ER) in 18 home outings...Pitched more than 1.0 inning in 18 of his 28 appearances for KC, including his fi nal 13 outings of the season...led all Royals relievers with 57.0 innings pitched from June 9 to the end of the season...Allowed at least 1 baserunner in 26 of his 28 outings, issuing walks in 23 of 28 appearances (37 walks total)...Took his 1st loss as a Royal on July 22 vs. Los Angeles (A.L.), allowing a run without recording an out...Pitched a career high 6.2 innings on Aug. 13 at Cleveland, allowing just 1 run on 2 hits while striking out a season-high 5 batters...Notched his 1st save of the season on Sept. 5 vs. New York, a 5-0 Royals win... limited the Yankees to 3 hits and matched a season-high with 5 strikeouts in 3.1-scoreless innings...Earned his 1st win as a member of the Royals in his fi nal appearance of 2006, allowing 1 run on 3 hits in 4.0 innings on Sept. 30 at Detroit, a 9-6 KC win.

Had 3 separate stints on the Cubs, combining to go 2-1 with a 6.12 ERA in 22 relief appearances...posted 3 holds and 1 save...Opened the season at Iowa (AAA), going 3-2 with a 3.02 ERA in 12 starts... tossed 53.2 innings, allowing 47 hits and 25 walks while striking out 48...allowed just 2 home runs and surrendered 3 or less earned runs in each of his starts...Worked a career high 12.2 scoreless innings for the Cubs from May 7-30... allowed just 1 hit and 6 walks while striking out 12...Earned his 2nd career save on May 13 at Washington, recording the final out in a 6-3 Cubs win...Tossed 3.2 scoreless innings on May 27 vs. Colorado, picking up his 1st win of the season and his 4th career win...Earned his 2nd win of the season and 5th of his career on June 11 vs. Boston.

2004

Began the season with the Cubs, making his 1st appearance on the Opening Day roster...went 2-1 with a 5.92 ERA in 2 stints with Chicago... appeared in 20 relief appearances...Also worked 13 games at Iowa (AAA), including 4 starts...went 1-1 with a 4.09 ERA, striking out 22 in 22.0 innings...Placed on the 15-day D.L. on May 28 (retro to 5/22) with a right shoulder strain...activated July 21 after missing 46 games...Earned his 1st win of the season in his 1st appearance after being activated from the D.L. vs. Cincinnati on July 21.

2003

Saw his 1st action in the Majors, spending 4 separate stints with the Cubs...compiled a 1-1 record and a 6.51 ERA in 15 relief appearances...Made his Major League debut on May 15 at Milwaukee and earned the save in the Cubs 17-inning, 4-2 win...struck out the side in his only inning of work...Became the 1st Cub to record a save in his Major League debut...the relief appearance was the 1st in his professional career...Earned his 1st Major League win on May 31 vs. Houston...tossed 2.0 perfect innings with 4 strikeouts in the Cubs 1-0, 16-inning win...Opened the season at West Tennessee (AA), going 1-1 with a 5.48 ERA in 4 starts before being promoted to Iowa (AAA) on April 26...went 5-5 with a 5.18 ERA in 13 games (12 starts) for Iowa.

2002

Split the 2002 season between Daytona (A) and West Tennessee (AA)...combined to go 5-7 with a 4.14 ERA...struck out 124 in 119.2 innings...Named a 2002 Florida State League mid-season All-Star at Daytona...Following the 2002 season, pitched for the Mesa Solar Sox in the Arizona Fall League...recorded a 3.12 ERA in 9 starts and was named to the league's all-prospect team.

2001

Went 13-9 with a 4.16 ERA in 27 starts for Lansing (A) ... fanned 167 batters in 147.0 innings -- a ratio of 10.2 strikeouts per 9.0 innings...ranked 2nd among Midwest League starters in strikeouts per 9.0 innings...was 3rd in strikeouts and tied for 3rd in victories...his win total tied for 1st among all Cubs minor league pitchers, while his strikeout total ranked 2nd...after the season, he was selected by Baseball America as the 20th-best prospect in the league.

2000

Made his professional debut at Eugene (A), where he tied for 1st in the Northwest League in starts (15) ... went 4-4 with a 3.67 ERA...held opponents to a .225 batting average...fanned 85 batters in 76.0 innings...was selected as the league's 13th-best prospect by Baseball America.
