Hit .301 in 65 apps for Class AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and .292 in 61g for the Yankees... on 9/2 at TB suffered a broken right wrist when he was hit by a Jason Hammel pitch and didn't play again the rest of the season...had surgery on 9/4...began the season at Scranton/WB and made all 65 of his apps there before he was promoted on 6/19...for the Yankees made 49 starts at 1B and did not commit an error in 408 total chances...from 6/28-8/3 started at 1B in 32 of NYY's 34g (.314, 2hr, 17rbi)...the Yankees went 22-10 in those 32 starts...from 7/20-7/29 produced a career-best 11-game hitting streak (.333)...at the time of his 6/19 promotion led the Red Barons in hits (75) and had produced 24 multi-hit games...was one of NYY's final spring training roster cuts...following the season rejected an outright assignment to the minor leagues and elected free agency...on 1/4 was signed by the Reds to a minor league contract.

2003

Was limited to just 17 games with Triple-A Columbus, batting .209 (14-for-67) with 2 HR and 5 RBI...injured his right elbow on 3/28 and began the season on the disabled list...was activated on 4/11 but returned to the D.L. from 4/20 to 5/1...homered in back-to-back games on 4/14-15...played in nine games in May before being shut down for the remainder of the season on 5/14...had arthroscopic surgery on 6/17 to repair a bone spur in his right elbow...was reinstated from the disabled list on 9/16.

2002

Split the season between Double-A Norwich and Triple-A Columbus, combining to bat .287 with 35 doubles, 28 HR and 87 RBI in 124 games...his 28 homers led all Yankee minor-leaguers...began the season with Norwich, leading the Navigators with a .305 average (83-for-272)...also had 24 doubles, 19 HR and 51 RBI in 73 games...was promoted to Columbus on 7/2 and on that day vs. Scranton went 4-for-5 with 1HR and 2RBI...homered in three straight games from 7/14-16 and in back-to-back games four other times in 2002...with Columbus batted .263 (54-for-205) with 9HR and 36RBI in 51 games.

2001

Began the season with Double-A Norwich, batting .268 (49-for-183) with 6HR and 25RBI in 51 games before being transferred to Single-A Tampa on 6/11...finished the season there, batting .302 (83-for-288) with 17 doubles, 4 triples, 11HR and 50RBI in 75 games...had 21 multi-hit games for Tampa.

2000

Spent the majority of the season with Single-A Tampa, batting .287 (137-for-478) with 13 HR and 58 RBI in 127 games...ranked fifth in the Florida State League with 33 doubles...had a career-high five hits on 6/1 vs. Charlotte, going 5-for-6 with two doubles, 1HR and 3RBI...had a career-high 17-game hitting streak from 7/8-25, batting .349 with eight doubles, 3HR and 12RBI in that span...also batted .332 (75-for-226) in 64 games at Legends Field...was promoted to Double-A Norwich on 8/28 and batted .250 (7-for-28) in seven games there.

1999

In his first professional season with Staten Island of the New York Penn League batted .322 (75-for-233) with 7HR and 48RBI in 64 games...ranked third in the league with seven triples and fifth with his .322 average...was also named to the NY Penn League All-Star Team...had a career-high 9RBI on 7/22 vs. Oneonta, hitting two grand slams in the game and going 2-for-5...had an 11-game hitting streak from 8/13-30, batting .500 (18-for-36) with 11RBI during the stretch.
