Spent most of the season at Class AAA Louisville but made his Major League debut with 7 apps, including 6 starts, for the Reds...in a 9-3 victory on 8/26 vs Fla made his ML debut after 12 seasons and 352 apps in the minors...2 days later celebrated his 30th birthday...was the oldest Reds player to make his Major League debut since CF Greg Tubbs made his first career appearance on 8/1/93 vs SD at 30 years, 335 days old and the oldest pitcher since Pat Scantlebury was 38 years, 160 days old when he started against the Cardinals on 4/19/56...earned wins in 3 of his first 4 starts... became the first Reds pitcher to begin his Major League career with 3 straight victories since reliever Todd Coffey went 4-0 in 2005, the first Reds starter to do it since Tom Browning went 3-0 over his first 2 seasons in 1984-85 and the first Reds righthanded starter to begin his career 3-0 since May 1976, when Santo Alcala won his first 5 starts (after making 4 relief apps without a decision) and Pat Zachary went 4-0 over 4 starts (following no decisions in 1 previous start and 7 relief apps)...was 1 of 10 Reds players to make Major League debuts in 2007 (OF Josh Hamilton, RHP Jared Burton, LHP Jon Coutlangus, RHP Brad Salmon, RHP Marcus McBeth, RHP Homer Bailey, LHP Phil Dumatrait, Joey Votto, Ryan Hanigan)...in 4 of his 6 starts made quality apps...only once allowed more than 3 runs in an appearance...in his 6 starts the Reds went 3-3 and scored 35 runs (5.8 r/g)...the Reds scored in the first inning in 5 of his 6 starts (17r)...began his Reds career with 3 starts (2-0, 3.12), made a relief appearance, then finished the season with 3 more starts (1-0, 6.08)...made his only relief appearance on 9/4 vs Mil, when in the first inning he entered the game in relief of Phil Dumatrait, who didn't retire any of his 5 batters and allowed HR to the first 3 batters (Rickie Weeks, J.J. Hardy, Ryan Braun)...on 8/26 vs Fla, in his Major League debut earned the 9-3 victory (7ip, 4h, 3er, 2bb, 2k, 1hr)...was the longest outing by a Reds pitcher in his Major League debut since Rob Bell threw 7.0 innings in a 4-3 win on 4/8/00 vs the Cubs (2bb, 9k, 1hr)...his first career strikeout victim was Jeremy Hermida...on 9/14 at Mil allowed Prince Fielder's 45th homer, which tied the Brewers' club record...on 9/26/07 vs Hou made his last appearance of the season, started and retired only 2 batters but received no decision in the 7-6 loss (0.2ip, 4h, 4er, 2bb, 0k, Berkman 3-run HR, Lee solo HR, 37 pch)...prior to his 8/26 promotion had spent the entire season at Louisville...led the Bats in starts (24), innings pitched (143.2) and strikeouts (109)...was Louisville's Pitcher of the Month for August (4gs, 2-1, 3.38)... in a 6-0 win on 7/1 vs Columbus threw 7.0 scoreless innings...on 10/30 cleared waivers and was outrighted to Louisville...was invited to 2008 Major League spring training camp.

Made 31 of his 32 season apps at Class AAA Louisville...made his only appearance for Class AA Chattanooga on 4/17 at Mobile...for the Bats tied for the staff lead with 9 victories...in the 4-0 win vs Indianapolis on 9/3 combined with Brad Salmon and Scott Chiasson for Louisville's first 1-hitter since Luke Hudson and Scott MacRae did it at Rochester on 7/15/02...following the season played for Mayos de Navojoa in the Mexican Winter League (13g, 12gs, 6-3-0, 2.76, 71.2ip, 61h, 27bb, 61k).
