In 29 games (20 starts) with Washington, enjoyed most extensive big league action...had contract selected from Triple-A Columbus, May 19...allowed 3 earned runs or less in 12 of 20 starts, during which Washington went 9-11... was 5-8 with a 5.57 ERA as a starter, 0-0 with a 0.79 ERA as a reliever...ranked 3rd among Nationals with 20 starts and 118.0 innings...was touched for Barry Bonds' record-breaking 756th career homer, August 7 at SFG, but did not garner a decision in the Nationals' eventual 8-6 win...left in line for the loss, but was let off the hook via a Felipe Lopez RBI double in the 8th which highlighted a 4-run Washington uprising that rendered an eventual 8-6 victory. Game-By-Game Highlights: Tossed 6.0 scoreless innings in his Nationals debut May 19 vs. BAL, but did not figure in the decision...worked 6.2 scoreless innings to garner the win in a 3-0 victory, July 21 vs. COL.

Went a perfect 11-0 with a 2.79 ERA in 28 games (10 starts) for Tucson of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League...the 11 wins ranked 2nd on club (Dustin Nippert, 13)...spent 2006 Spring Training with the Nationals, but did not pitch in the Nationals' system...went 7-0 with a 2.85 ERA in 10 starts...posted quality start in 6 of final 8 starting assignments...fanned 5.1 per 9.0 innings as a starter, 7.7 per 9.0 innings when pitching out of the bullpen...batting average against in 18 relief appearances was .168...won at least one game in each month of season (April-August).
2005
In lone season in PHI's organization, went 7-10 in 30 games (27 starts) for Scranton/W-B of the Triple-A International League...posted a .232 batting average against opposing left-handed batters, but those swinging from the right side hit .309...was touched for 6 first-inning home runs...struck out a season-high 8, but took the loss on June 18 at Norfolk...won consecutive starts only once, July 22 vs. Buffalo and July 27 vs. Ottawa...recorded 14 quality starts, 5 of which came in August/September...6 of 7 wins came at home (lone road victory came June 13 at Durham).
2004
Began his season with Oklahoma (AAA)...Made 1 start in his first 13 appearances and pitched 6.0 innings without allowing an earned run, 4/23 vs Iowa...Won 3 consecutive starts, 6/26-7/10 (3 ER, 15.2 IP)...Had his contract purchased by TEX on 7/31...Made his TEX debut with 7.0 shutout innings on 8/4 at DET...Made 2 more starts before being designated for assignment on 8/15...Returned to Oklahoma and made 6 more relief appearances to finish the season...Signed with PHI, 11/21.
