played baseball and football...broke Ken Griffey Jr.'s school career home run record (22)...his team won the state championship in
1989, and Adam was named the All-American Tournament MVP...played center field for the National Champion Connie Mack League
teams in 1988 and 1989...was named team MVP on his 1989 National Champion American Legion team and was the 1990 Gatorade

Transactions: Traded from the Red Sox to the Padres in exchange for righthander Blaine Neal on March 22...began the year in San

THIRD TIME'S THE CHARM: 2004 marked Hyzdu's 3rd career stint in the Red Sox
organization...played at Double-A Trenton in 1996 and Triple-A Pawtucket in 1997, and

league games for the Pirates over 4 seasons (2000-03) between stints in the Red Sox
