Dodgers from the New York Mets on March 20 in exchange for Kazuhisa Ishii and served as the Dodgers' primary starting catcher for the first half of the season... Ranked third on
the Dodgers with 399 at-bats, four shy of his career high set in 2003 with New York... Ranked third on the Dodgers in RBI (55) and tied for third in total bases (145)... Threw out 16.1
percent of runners attempting to steal off him (15-for-93)...Made 89 starts behind the plate and 18 starts at first base...
Was most effective with runners in scoring position, as he
batted .299 (32-107) in such situations... With runners in
