optioned to Class AAA Calgary on 5/5 ... lost first start on 4/7 vs. Atlanta, allowing three runs on six hits over 5.2 IP
... won next two starts (second and third career victories) on 4/15 at Montreal and 4/20 vs. Montreal, combining to
allow three runs on eight hits over 12.0 IP ... hit a solo home run off Tony Armas Jr. on 4/15 and collected an RBI
single on 4/20 ... lost on 4/25 at Arizona (9 ER/4.0 IP) and posted a no decision on 5/1 at St. Louis (3 ER/4.0 IP)

His contract was purchased from Class AAA Calgary on 5/11 ... made his major-league debut that night

pitchers in Marlins history to earn the win in his debut ... collected his first Major League hit and RBI in the fourth
inning (off Millwood) to give Florida a 5-3 lead ... was optioned to Calgary following the start.

Began season with Fresno (Giants' AAA)...Was traded to the Florida organization on 7/24 and was assigned to Calgary...Participated in
the Major League Baseball All-Star Futures Game at Fenway Park on 7/11...Was rated as the 44th-best prospect in baseball and the eighth-best
prospect in the Marlins organization by Baseball America following the season.

Split first professional season between Shreveport (Giants' AA) and Fresno...Was named to the Texas League All-Star team after
finishing fourth in the league in complete games and sixth in ERA.
