Began season on 15-day D.L. with a right groin pull, suffered 3/27 against the Mets in Port St. Lucie...Went 1-2 with a 4.38 ERA in five rehab starts with Triple-A New Orleans in April and May...Made season debut with Washington on 5/10 at Arizona; was staked to a 2-0 lead after five innings, but took the loss after allowing a three-run homer to Troy Glaus with two outs in the 6th inning...Earned first win on 5/16 vs. Milwaukee, his first big-league victory since July 23, 2004 vs. Florida...Picked up win on 7/2 at Chicago (NL); his first on the road since April 10, 2003, also at Wrigley Field...Left his start on 7/18 vs. Colorado after just 2.0 innings due to dizziness and dehydration...Worked 7.0 innings of one-hit, two-run ball to earn 4-2 victory on 7/23 vs. Houston (did not allow a hit until Lance Berkman's two-run homer with one out in the 6th inning)...Did not pitch after 9/1 at Atlanta due to shoulder discomfort...Had successful surgery on 9/28 performed by Dr. Timothy Kremchek (posterior capsule release)...Had a 3.25 ERA while pitching at home and a 6.84 ERA while pitching on the road.

Returned to the mound after having season-ending surgery to repair labrum in right shoulder on 5/23/03...Began season on the disabled list (placed there on 4/3)...Made five minor league rehab starts in May, going a combined 0-1 with a 4.19 ERA (19.1ip/9er) in three starts with Single-A Brevard County and two with Triple-A Edmonton...Made season debut with Montreal on 6/1 at Atlanta (5.2ip/3h/2r/2er/3bb/7so)...Picked up both victories at Olympic Stadium on 6/24 vs. Philadelphia and 7/23 vs. Florida...Pitched season-high 7.0 innings on 7/8 vs. Pittsburgh...Was scheduled to start on 8/3 at St. Louis, but was scratched minutes prior to first pitch when he could not get his right shoulder loose in bullpen - according to the Elias Sports Bureau, Armas was credited with having played in the game (on lineup card), but not a game started...Did not pitch after 9/12, as the Expos' medical staff concluded that he had reached an unspecified number of target innings.

Began fifth big-league campaign as the Expos Opening Day starter...Struck out career-high 11 batters on 4/10 at Chicago and teamed with Javier Vazquez, who whiffed 14 Cubs on 4/9, to record the Expos' first set of back-to-back 10-K performances since Carlos Perez (10 K) and Pedro Martinez (12 K) turned the trick on August 13-14, 1997 at Los Angeles...Tossed 17.0 consecutive scoreless innings from 4/5-19...Allowed one or fewer runs in three of his five starts, but did not pitch after 4/20 due to season-ending right shoulder surgery...Made final start on 4/20 in Puerto Rico vs. Cincinnati and allowed five runs in 6.0 innings of work...Was placed on the 15-day disabled list on 4/24 (retro to 4/21) with a strained right rotator cuff...Was transferred to the 60-Day D.L. on 7/10...Had surgery performed by Dr. Lewis Yocum in Los Angeles, CA, on 5/23...Spent majority of season rehabbing in Atlanta, GA.

Posted career high in wins...Shared N.L. lead in wild pitches with Florida's A.J.
