Mike was named the Rangers' Tom Grieve Minor League Player of the Year after leading the minor league organization in runs (98), hits (177), extra base hits (77), total bases (301) and doubles (51), while ranking 3rd in rbi (100), 4th in batting average (.324), and 5th in home runs (21). He finished 3rd among all minor leaguers in doubles, tied for 4th in extra base hits, was 5th in hits and tied for 5th in total bases. Tied for 6th among all minor league 3rd basemen in batting average, Mike was 1st among Double A players in hits (176) and doubles, was 2nd in extra base hits and total bases (300), 7th in runs, tied for 7th in rbi and was 10th in average. He set career highs in games (139), at bats (546), runs, hits, doubles, triples (5), home runs, rbi and walks (54).

Ranked among FSL leaders in hits (T2nd, 162), at-bats (3rd, 536), RBI (4th, 93), games (T4th, 135), total bases (5th, 230), and doubles (T5th, 35) at Class A Charlotte...led all Texas minor league players in hits and was 10th in batting (.302)...had a 21-game hitting streak from June 10-July 16...earned All-Star third base honors in the Maryland Fall League at Frederick.
