**MANAGING/COACHING CAREER** Combined to go 155-115 (.574) in two seasons as a Single- A manager in Toronto Blue Jays organization from 2011- 2012...Managed Single-A Dunedin in Florida State League in 2012...Led Blue Jays to 78-55 record and advanced to first round of FSL playoffs...Made managerial debut in 2011 with Single-A Lansing...Earned Midwest League Manager of the Year award for guiding Lugnuts to a 77-60 record and an appearance in Midwest League finals. **PLAYING CAREER** Played 13 seasons in the Major Leagues, including first seven with Marlins. Was originally signed by Florida as a non-drafted free agent on August 18, 1992...During career, threw out 27.8 percent of runners attempting to steal...Holds American League record for longest streak of total chances without an error (1,474) by a catcher...Streak was snapped on May 22, 2010, playing for Cleveland vs. Cincinnati. It was first error since moving to AL, after signing with Twins in 2005. Had not committed an error since July 20, 2004 at New York-NL, during final season with Marlins...Won 2005 Bob Allison Award, given by Minnesota Twins organization to player who exemplifies determination, hustle, tenacity, competitive spirit and leadership, both on and off field...Won 1999 Charlie Hough "Good Guy" Award, given by South Florida Chapter of Baseball Writers Association of America...Made Major League debut for Marlins on May 31, 1998 and went 3x3 with a home run at Milwaukee. Married to Michele, and they have two sons, Ryan Patrick (3/3/01) and Michael Andrew (9/23/02)...Graduated from Gonzaga (WA) Preparatory School in 1989 and went on to play baseball at Gonzaga University...Founded the "Red's Rally Caps" program in 2002, which helps give inspiration and strength to patients receiving cancer treatment.

Was the Twins Opening Day catcher, going 1-for-3 with a run scored, 4/6 vs. Seattle...hit in three straight games, 4/14-17...caught 10 games in April...hit safely in four of five games, 5/ 13-25...hit .310 (9-for-29) in 10 games in 5/...had first three-hit game of season, 8/9 at Detroit...tripled on 8/30 vs. Texas, his first since 4/29, 2003, a span of 1,197 at-bats in between triples...appeared in 45 games for the Twins, starting 39 at catcher...extended his streak of having not committed an error to 1,414 total chances, the longest streak ever by an American League catcher.

Had season-high three rbi, May 7 at Chicago (AL)...had first three-hit game of season, going 3-for-4 with a double and an rbi, June 5 vs. Baltimore...season-high six-game hit-streak, going 10-for-19 (.526), May 22-June 10...hit .360 (9-for-25) in seven June games...two-rbi game, July 1 vs. Detroit...appeared in nine games from August 6-September 21 and went 13-for-39 (.333) with five multi-hit games, including back-to-back 2-for-4 games, September 13 and 21...hit .333 (5-for-15) with three rbi and three runs scored in four September games...made 32 starts at catcher and appeared in 37 games...continued his streak of having not committed an error in 1,178 total chances, the longest streak ever by an American League catcher.
