2006
Veteran righthander pitched in 33 games, despite spending half the season on the disabled list...was shelved May 5 with a right shoulder impingement and missed 83 games...Has pitched for nine different clubs in his 16-year career...Rays marked his 8th different Opening Day franchise...Opened the year as the Rays' closer...was 3rd in the league with 11 games finished when he was shut down...His ERA stood at 6.39 at the time of the injury (14-G, 12.2-IP, 9-ER, 4-HR)...reinstated from the DL Aug. 7 and pitched to a 2.33 ERA over the season's final seven weeks (19-G, 19.1-IP, 5-ER, 0-HR)...Held opponents to just a .217 avg. 2005
Signed in January to play with the Yomiuri Giants of the Japanese Central League...was expected to be their closer but was released on April 19, 2 1/2 weeks into the season after pitching in four games, two of those blown saves...Signed with the Colorado Rockies to a minor league deal on May 21 and assigned to AAA Colorado Springs...made 5 appearances for the Sky Sox before the Rockies purchased his contract on June 21...Pitched in 19 games for the Rox before his season was cut short after a batted ball struck his left foot on Aug. 4 at San Francisco (hit by Michael Tucker) and he subsequently spent the remainder of the season on the disabled list...was initially diagnosed with a deep bone bruise in his left foot...after an MRI did not produce a definitive reading, he underwent a bone scan which revealed multiple stress fractures...he was then ordered to stay off the foot for four months...In that final game at San Francisco he allowed 5 hits and 5 runs in 0.1 as his ERA soared from 3.50 to 5.89...worked mostly in the 8th inning for Colorado...For his career, he has held right-handed hitters to a .232 average.
2004
Made a career-high 74 appearances in 2004 with Houston...ranked tied for 13th in the National League in relief strikeouts with 83...Was on Disabled List with conjunctivitis from Aug. 22-Sept. 8...activated on Sept. 9 and tossed one scoreless inning with two strikeouts in game two of a doubleheader vs. Pittsburgh...Earned his first save of the year on July 3 vs. Texas with 1.1 scoreless innings...was his first save since June 27, 2003 vs. the New York Mets...Allowed a season-high five runs on May 29 vs. St. Louis, his most allowed since Aug. 16, 2000 vs. Los Angeles...tagged with his first blown save.
2003
Became the first pitcher in Major League history to pitch for teams in four different divisions in one season: Rockies, Indians, Yankees and Astros...Went a combined 3-2 with a save and a 3.20 ERA in 57 appearances (70.1-IP, 59-H, 25-ER)...Began the season with the Rockies...released on May 11...joined the Indians on May 15... acquired by the Yankees on June 25...released on July 25...acquired by Astros on July 29.
2002
Opened the season in the Texas Rangers bullpen...pitched in nine games, 8.1 innings of work and compiled a 8.64 ERA...was released by Texas May 6 and didn't sign with another club until agreeing to terms with the Rockies Dec. 19.
2001
Spent time with both Florida and Colorado in 2001, compiling a 4.80 ERA (24ER/45.0IP) and 2-5 record...reported to Triple-A Colorado Springs and pitched in four games before having his contract purchased July 8...made his Rockies debut that day, pitching a scoreless seventh...went on to post a 2.21 ERA (5ER/20.1IP) in 22 games for Colorado, the team's lowest second-half ERA...did not allow an earned run in August (eight games) or September (four games), a total of 11.1 innings...released by the Marlins June 27 and signed by the Rockies July 2...with Florida, appeared in 29 games and allowed 19 earned runs in 24.2 innings of work.

Tied for 9th in N.L. in relief wins (6) in 1st season with Marlins...Allowed just one of 14 inherited runners to score and held righthanders to .216 average...Posted 1.59 era (2 er/11.1 ip) in his 1st 11 outings with 7 straight scorless appearances (8 ip), April 10-23...Earned wins in consecutive games, July 29 vs. Arizona and Aug. 2 vs. Houston...Was on disabled list from May 30-July 19 with inflamed right forearm.

Topped San Diego in appearances (66) and was 2nd in relief strikeouts (59) and games finished (28)...Was 4-2, 3.46 in season's 1st 38 appearances...Was 2-4 in save tries.

Led the majors in relief wins (10), one shy of Padres club record...Tied for 5th in N.L. in holds (20) and led staff in appearances (67)...Worked 10 straight scoreless appearances (11 ip), June 2-26, and tossed a club season best 20.1 consecutive scoreless frames over 20 games from July 12-Aug. 28...Issued just one homer in final 44 games (44.2 ip)...Was 1-1, 3.18 in 8 post-season appearances, losing game 2 and winning game 3 of Division series vs. Houston.

Established career bests for appearances (71) and strikeouts (79) for Detroit in 1997...Earned 1st A.L. save on April 21 at Texas and 1st victory on June 27 in Boston...Had a 3.00 era in final 28 contests.
