Dominican Republic...was signed by Dodgers scout Ralph Avila and Pablo Peguero as an undrafted free agent on 10/8/91...Wilton
and Vladimir are the eighth set of brothers to homer in the same game...they did it four times, most recently twice in 2000 for
the Expos (5/18 vs. ARI, 9/18 vs. FLA).
2004
Split the season between Kansas City and Omaha (AAA).
Batted .219 in 24 games for the Royals. Hit at a .326 clip in 72 games for Omaha.
Was batting .311 (46-148) in 35 games for Omaha when his contract was purchased on 5/16.
Made his KC debut on 5/21 at OAK and collected a hit in his only at-bat.
Appeared in seven games in his first stint with KC, going 3-for-12 with a triple and four runs scored. Was designated for
assignment on 6/13.
Returned to Omaha until his contract was purchased on 7/31. Batted .200 (4-20) with three runs and an RBI in 17
games during his second tour with the Royals.

Wilton showed his worth in his versatility... Was the Club's best pinch-hitter for the second straight season... Ranked sixth in the NL in that category, going 13-for-53 (.283) with five walks... The former infielder also showed his versatility by starting 37 games in left field, eight in right and eight in center... Was also the Club's most-used designated hitter, going 9-for-25 (.360) with 3 RBI in six starts... Went 8-for-9 in the stolen base department... Will be roaming the outfield for La Romana in the Dominican Winter League.
- FIRST HOMER: Solo shot off Arizona's Brian Anderson in the 5th inning on May 18 while starting in CF.
- KEY HIT: Drove in the winning run in the 7th on August 28 vs Arizona as a PH.
- OH BROTHER: The Guerrero Brothers homered in the same game for the fourth time on September 18 against Florida... In fact, the last three homers Wilton has hit have come in the same game when his bro goes deep: 9/2/99 at PHI (grand slam), 5/18/00 vs AZ & 9/18/00 vs FLA... Four of the six homers Wilton has hit with Montreal have come in the same game Vlad homers... The Giambi brothers (Jason & Jeremy) of the Oakland A's also homered twice in the same game in '00, as the two went deep on May 8 at Anaheim and September 16 at Tampa Bay... The Guerreros are the eighth set of brothers to homer in the same game.

In his first season with the Reds hit .338 in 60 games...also
appeared in 54 games at Louisville (.304, 28 RBIs, 12 SBs).
Was one of the Reds' most versatile players...made 26 starts at
four positions (13 games at SS, eight games at 2B, three games at 3B,
two games in LF)...overall made 31 appearances in the infield and six
appearances in the OF...following injuries to Pokey Reese and Juan
Castro started at SS in 13 of the Reds' last 16 games, his only
starts of the season at that position, and hit safely in 12 of those
13 starts (.375, 1 HR, 4 RBIs, 6 R).
Ended the season with a 10-game hitting streak (16-44, .364, 1
RBI), his longest of the year.
Also made 26 appearances as one of the club's best pinch hitters
(.308, 2 RBIs)...hit .333 with RISP, second on the club to Sean Casey
(.356).
On 9/21 at Milwaukee left the game with a concussion suffered in
a collision at first base with Brewers 2B Mark Loretta...missed three
games before he played again (9/26 at Philadelphia), then didn't
miss another start the rest of the season.
Began the season with the Reds and appeared in five games, all
as a PH (0-5), before he was outrighted to Louisville on 4/9...when
promoted again on 7/5 ranked eighth in the International League in
hitting (.304).
Following that 7/5 promotion spent the rest of the season with
the Reds...after a 2-for-17 start for the Reds hit .368 in his last
49 games.
Hit his only triple on 8/25 at Montreal...on 9/20 vs Cubs hit his
only home run, a three-run HR in the bottom of the ninth inning off
Kyle Farnsworth that pulled the Reds to within a run in their 6-5
loss...was his first homer since 9/18/00 vs Florida...from 8/20-8/25
had a season-high hitless skid of 10 AB...had 11 multi-hit games,
including four two-hit games and seven three-hit games...had 15
infield hits, including five bunt singles.

In his third season with the Expos hit .267 with two HR, 23 RBIs and eight steals in 127 games.
Was used primarily has an outfielder for the first time in his professional career...appeared in 75 games in the outfield, including 53 starts (37 LF, 8 CF, 8 RF)...made one appearance at 2B (5/26 at San Diego).
For the second straight season was Montreal's best pinch hitter and ranked sixth in the National League with 13 pinch hits (5 BB)...on 8/28 vs Arizona drove in the winning run as a pinch hitter.
Also was the club's primary designated hitter, made six starts at that position (9-26, .360, 3 RBIs).
Stole eight bases in nine attempts...on 9/27 at Florida walked in all three plate appearances.
Following the season played for La Romana in the Dominican Winter League.
1999
In his first full season with the Expos hit .292 with 7 triples in 132g...ranked T9th in the National League in triples...appeared in 22g in the outfield and 54g at 2B...became one of the premier pinch hitters in the NL (.340, 17h, 6bb)...established career highs in average, games, runs, doubles and walks...was the Expos' Opening Day second baseman and made 36 starts at that position, including 16 starts there in April...on 6/14 at StL tied a club record with 3 doubles...from 7/16-7/20 was used as the designated hitter in 5 consecutive games (.300, at Bal, at NYY)...on 10/2 at Phi hit his only career grand slam (off Paul Byrd) and combined with Vladimir for 10rbi, a Major League record for RBI in a game by brothers...following the season played outfield for Nordeste in the Dominican Winter League.
1998
Combined to hit .284 in 116g for the Dodgers and Expos...ranked T3rd in the National League with 9 triples...also appeared in 30g at Class AAA Albuquerque...following the 7/31 trade to Mtl immediately became the Expos' starting second baseman...started Mtl's last 58g...hit safely in his first 11g for Mtl (.311)...finished the season with a 12-game hitting streak (.314)....joined Vladimir to become the third set of brothers to play for the Expos and the first set to play on the same team...they were the 83rd set of brothers to play together...the Guerreros faced Bret and Aaron Boone on 8/14 at Cin, the first matchup of brother duos since SF's Matty, Jesus and Felipe Alou played Mil's Hank and Tommie Aaron in 1963...on 8/15 vs Cin the Guerreros became the first set of brothers to homer in the same game since Bal's Cal and Billy Ripken on 5/28/96 at Sea.

In his first Major League season hit .291 in 111g for the Dodgers...ranked third in the National League with 9 triples...among NL rookies ranked second in triples, third in hits, fourth in multi-hit games (27), sixth in runs scored and total bases, T6th in stolen bases and seventh in RBI and extra-base hits...appeared in 10g at Class AAA Albuquerque...was the club's Opening Day starter and collected his first Major League hit with an infield single in the first inning off Phi's Curt Schilling...was the first rookie to start at second base for the Dodgers since Steve Sax in 1982...on 4/16 at Mets hit his first career HR (off Rick Reed)...from 6/2-9 was suspended for using an illegal bat...did not commit an error in his last 57g...played the entire season with a torn labrum in his left shoulder, an injury repaired on 10/3 (Dr. Frank Jobe).

Spent most of the season at Class AAA Albuquerque, where he hit .344 in 98g...led all Dodgers minor leagers in hitting...among Pacific Coast Leaders ranked second in triples, third in hitting and fifth in stolen bases...made his Major League debut with 5 apps for the Dodgers...was recalled on 9/1 and made his Major League debut on 9/3 at Mets...in his debut pinch ran and scored a run...ran the 40-yard dash in 4.51 seconds, fastest among all Dodgers minor leaguers...following the season won the Dominican Winter League batting championship with a single in his last plate appearance, finishing at .342...was selected to play in the Triple-A All-Star Game.
