Marquis battled injuries and saw action in just 44 games with the Giants - hitting .212 with 4 doubles, 2 homers and 15 RBI ... was released August 9 ... was on the disabled list May 20-June 4 with a right knee contusion and returned to the disabled list June 13 with a right hamstring strain ... had a four-game rehabilitation stint at Fresno (AAA) from July 19-July 23 and was reinstated to the active list on July 24 ... drove in a season-high 3 runs on April 8 against Colorado, hitting a game-winning 3-run homer off Scott Dohmann in the bottom of the ninth inning ... the Giants won 10-8 ... was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle on April 15 in Colorado, as he singled, doubled and hit a 2-run homer off Scott Dohmann.
